I have been a die hard Sublime fan since 95 or so. I made all my friends listen till they were crazy, I still listen to them like crazy. I didn't have high hopes for Rome, I'm hard to please AFter hearing Rome and seeing him live in Tucson, I am officially in Rome lala land. I am THRILLED to have Sublime back, Rome is amazing, I'm in love all over again. In a way it's like rediscovering all these things I love about Sublime, now they have a slightly new, different flavor and I love it.

I wasn't into sublime with rome at first, it took me a couple years before I was like ok, yea this is cool. The same is true for anyone who likes Alice In chains, after Staley died, that new guy I don't know is not as good as a replacement for Alice in chains as Rome was for Sublime. This feels right, the alice in chains replacement - I don't know if its the vocals or what, but I am not buying into it. This is I am buying into. Rome you rock.

Funny cause I have the totally opposite opinion. The guy from Alice in Chains is technically the backup singer and now Jerry is the lead singer. But Rome is a clean cut lover boy, nothing like Bradley and doesn't sound at all like him. I like Rome a lot, just not at all in Sublime.

I think they're both good. Rome is just slightly better at emulating Brad's style and vocal delivery IMO Not a knock on William as much as a testament to just how unique Layne's voice was... it's about more than just hitting the right notes. Layne's vocals are pretty hard to replicate.

No Rome will never be Bradley everyone knows that including him but one of the best bands to ever play gets to play live shows again and that's something special. +Bryan Torres Honestly..I agree that Rome is a talented individual, but to say that he has more emotion when he sings is purely ignorant. Bradley's music was pure emotion. Rome just has a better voice. That doesn't mean he has more emotion or passion. The fact that they wanted to continue with the band isn't the issue. Its the fact that the name Sublime was used, when the family of Bradley, clearly did not want it to be and rightfully so. They could have still played the songs in concert even if they chose to, but to try to make the band relevant again, when it didn't need to be done was a little ridiculous. I admire Rome for his talent, passion and even for his love of what sublime had built up before him, but realistically speaking, he comes nowhere close to Bradley and never will. He DOES have more of a singers voice and can hit notes Bradley couldn't, but he still will never compare. Period.
