This whole thing is an altered version of the old 'Network Exploration Experience', which was a MSO, or, 'Massively Singleplayer Online game'; the joke of course being that hypothetically Everyone is online at the same time like in a MMO, only, everyone is on a different sub-layer, so you never see any other players; The NEE was REAL big; since it wasn't originally a 'real' game that could be beaten, All sorts of everything was thrown into it just to explore;
