@ryneuf4 ай бұрын
Dude, I love you! This website collection stuff took me like 1.5 years to put together on my own back when my brain was working. And here you do it in 15 minutes (okay, probably a couple weeks).But... it's top-notch! Since then, I've been clobbered by an autoimmune issue where "brain fog" is listed a symptom, which is the understatement of the year. it takes me FOREVER to figure out what's what these days. But I still love tech and all things AI, and now I know I can trust you fully, Matt. You passed the sniff test!

I was going to leave a comment about something similar. I loved making videos my whole life, I was historian of my pharmacy school class of 2011. But then I became really sick at age 25 with a rare disease. Since then I’ve been incredibly sick lived in a nursing home at age 31 in fall 2018, and several doctors are unsure how I’m still here. I didn’t eat for 3 years! I started coming back to life in 2022, but it took two years for my brain to be able to function enough to try to pick up the new tech and apps, my brain and my website are stuck in 2007-2012. Matt’s videos have literally helped bring me back to life. Wild I know. But it’s honest truth. I’m so thankful for him! I now can start to learn video editing software again, but I have to really plan ahead so I get the most use out of my energy hours and don’t waste my time learning a bad or outdated program or app that won’t exist in 2 years. So truly, these videos = more energy and life for me. I’m terrible at editing by today’s standards and it’s sometimes hard to think about how far I would be if I hadn’t dropped off the face of the earth in 2012 due to illness. Instead, I try to think about how much more efficient my time is being used now, and how I can learn AI right at the prime time for it, while I relearn everything else. Ha. So that’s kinda cool. Anyway, good luck with your health. I love tech too but I know so little about it anymore, it’s kind of a bummer. Glad to read your comment tho. Similar boat over here!!!! And Thank you to Matt!!!!! And prayers for your health, new friend!

Appreciate these tool evaluations, even when paid by the sponsors to be included. Gives me a chance to check them out and evaluate myself, and Matt always does a great job of calling out the apps that are a little less than ideal. He does a great job of being authentic and trusted while also generating income to make a living. He's probably the only person who's videos I make sure I don't miss. Looking forward to what news you come back from Seattle with!

Relume has changed the content of the free use content. You can only build one page now. Isn't there a way to put the site files on another server/host. The backend is maybe hard to just transfer (Java/C++/etc to a specific server) but a simple backend or without backend with just fronend pages it should be easier. I'd rather have control of which service provider I use, I can even host it myself.

Solid stuff! Although lets be honest in 2024, almost all the main themes & website builders claim to have a AI assisted function or feature. So this whole area is going to be fully automated - very soon! Am not sure if thats a net positive or negative?

I presume most themes and plugins currently do the text for a site? Or no? Relume and ZipWP (which is kinda half and half) are actually building the site's bones.

It seems like the process is missing a trick. Why develop a wireframe in Relume, then have Hostinger develop a different one in its framework. Why not import your original work in Relume? That's what website building tools do, all in one framework.

Matt, this isn't a crazy hard field at all. There's a lot they're throwing at us at once. There is crazy fast evolution (or planned staggered releases from evolution some time ago...), BUT like I said, it's not THAT hard. It's comprehendable (I know I didn't likely spell that right). Looks like the word is comprehensible. And very few people here actually. Not as many as I'd think. It's because they scattered it across so many companies. Most devs are just like - I don't want to deal with it. Anyone who has a job has no time to. All this fragmentation - it's all PLANNED. It's disgusting really... Really makes a dev's life a real bitch. It's time for socialism already... Our lives don't need to be hard (at all). Yet they make it a living hell...
