Submotion Orchestra are proud to present their new "1968 EP" on Circus Records
The EP being picked up by Circus may come as a surprise to some, but has caused no change to the band's ethereal sound. If anything, it perhaps marks a sea-change for mainstream attitudes towards the dubstep genre, and a new lease of life for the 140 tempo.
The EP explores new territory within the submotion sound, from the sordid smokey shuffle of "Damn Hot" to the bold 7-bar phrasing and epic progression of the title track. All tracks feature the whispered stylings of the vocalist Ruby Wood, underpinned as usual with lashings of the band's trademark sub-bass and rhythmic complexities.
