One of the first time capsules I got had only a hover fish named “Jeff.” And the message “please take care of Jeff.” Jeff was with me my entire game and when I finished it I sent Jeff and a enyzme pepper with the message to take care of Jeff and how he wasn’t my fish but has been with me all game and has a new friend. Jeff was cute, he’d swim around in the alien containment with the peepers until I walked up to it, then he’d get as close as possible and hover side to side with a :D expression.

I found a time capsule and found random things like chips, lantern fruit, and a hover fish. I ate the food and released the fish since I was on a journey and needed the space. But I later found out there was an image of a player holding the fish, and a heartwarming message talking about their pet fish named Mr. Hov, and how they got them through tough moments, and how they hoped Mr. Hov would help those who would receive the time capsule. But then, right after reading it, I felt my heart sink as I realized I released Mr. Hov, and no matter how long I looked, I could not find him. And now, I am forever haunted by my horrific mistake. I shall never be forgiven.

You want to know how to give somebody (sort of) infinite 1x1 items in a time capsule? 1. Get all the carry-on luggage bags in the world 2. Get a propulsion cannon 3. Fill the first carry on bag with anything (only the first bag can carry non 1x1 items) 4. Pick it up with the propulsion cannon 5. Left click to put it into inventory 6. Place bag in another carry on, and place 1x1 items in remaining slots 7. Repeat steps 4-6 until all carry-on bags are in a quantum-physics breaking chain and one bag remains 8. Place carry-on bag in time capsule, optionally an additional 2x 1x1 items 9. Laugh to yourself to the thought of someone acquiring this I only did this once, what did I do? Title: Good luck Description: just keep going, you’ll be fine Container: Carry-on bags with no extra 1x1 items, final bag contains seatreader sh*t XD

i found a capsule with a hardened blade inside, which cannot be crafted anymore, it sits in my inventory hand at all times as it is a flat 30 damage blade instead of 20 heat 20 normal damage knife

for the record, any story important items (tablets, cuttlefish eggs, etc) & ANY ion related items excluding the ion cubes get removed from time capsules. funnily enough, power tools with ion batteries don't... :)

if anyone finds a time capsule that contains a depth mod mk2 for the prawnsuit, two ion power cells, jump jet upgrade, drill arm and grapple arm, then you have found mine (I also did another one the exact same items but with a different picture).

I think half, if not all, of those were removed due to possible spoilers (so the ion power cells) and severe gameplay advantages (upgrades for the prawn suit)

I left a time capsule on my first play through. Had my pet oculus and what was gonna be my cuddlefish, but I didn’t have time to stay and watch him grow up. I forgot their names now, and left a few prawn pieces in the capsule too. I left a note telling the person to take care of the, and put my prawn pieces to good use. Just an fyi to all you guys, there are 'forbidden items' that the game will screen your time capsule for. As you're blasting off again, the game will screen your capsule, and so long as it doesn't contain any of the following items, will be sent to the voting site and then possibly seeded into the game, if popular enough and after being checked. Forbidden items include: Power-generating vehicle Upgrade Modules (ANY vehicle upgrade, basically) Any Ion Cube-based technologies (though Ion Cubes themselves are allowed) Hatching Enzymes and other plot items Kyanite, Cuddlefish Eggs, and a few other deliberately hard-to-find items If your capsule contained any of these, sadly it was likely immediately refused. Just 4 weeks ago though, I picked up a capsule with a Seamoth inside. That Seamoth was equipped with an Ion Battery! So even now, you can circumvent the screening process and include an Ion Cube-based technology, if it is a battery hidden in some tech. Hope this helps!

I just found 4 time capsules all in one area near Officer keens lifepod. One made a game of thrones reference about the ocean being dark and full of terrors. The only useful item though was an ion battery inside a laser cutter. I never found a single time capsule my first playthrough

I just made a Legendary time capsule the things I put in the time capsule is the seamoth depth module mark 3, prawn suit depth module mark 2, cyclops depth module mark 3, a ion power cell, 2 ion batteries and the hatching enzymes. And I wrote "save the ion power cell for the rocketship" And wrote some other stuff

Mid game I got a time capsule that gave me a bunch of tools which all were duplicates except for the laser cutter. I threw out all of the tools and kept the laser cutter only to find out that it contained an ion battery, meaning I dumped all of those tools somewhere with ion batts in them. :/

I left a knife with a long story about how this was an undiscovered world ripe for hunting unique Big Game, how me and the boys had gotten in and out with a stealth ship and taken down some impressive specimens (queue picture of a dead sea dragon with a prawn suit standing triumphant on top of it). That I was feeling a bit off, so was Reginald, but not to worry! My family was very wealthy back on earth and I'm sure once we get back there they can discreetly fix this little illness we'd picked up... Without the authorities finding out of course.

Haven't found much time capsules but I have released 3 time capsules about biomes in the game The First was for the Kelp Forest, with a short description and image I did another for the bulb zone, with the reaper right above it, and the last one was for that part of the dunes right next to the western grassy zone I plan to do one for the middle of the crash zone.... wish me luck (PS: You'll know if you have found one of mine, they're always signed with "-Explorer 47")

Sadly, if I remember correctly, your capsule is likely to have all those Kyanite's removed. I believe there's a list of stuff not allowed, and I'm pretty sure those are on it (end game item). So someone's probably going to find your capsule, but it'll be empty and include only your screenshot and message. :(

Fun fact I’ve had a game since I came out on Xbox and I haven’t beaten it legit once so far I’ve managed to build the thrusters for the Neptune rocket break the game multiple times in survival and I’ve traveled beyond the void six times in creative

Yeah, the skybox is really janky. The escape scene is literally a funnily textured cup above the ship..
