I found a technique when dealing with reapers or ghosts with the cyclops. If you shoot your stasis rifle from the inside of the cyclops, the bubble extends way outside the submarine. Once the attacking fauna gets caught in it, you can just drive away because the cyclops is not affected by the stasis rifle.

I know it's been 7 mo. But I had to tell someone who actually felt nervous going down there. I just went down in just my prawn and made it all the way back to my base near life pod. It was super extreme my heart thumped the whole time I refused to save down there cause I didn't want to end up stuck. And I made it. So excited about it

absolutely same. I thought I'm the only one idiot who's not able to navigate in literally one way path. That's because when I was passing this game for the second time I'd check one more time just in which zone located the power plant (I didn't want go throughout the guides), I really didn't remember where I found it last time. And I read in fucking wiki that it located in Inactive lava zone. Not in the castle. IN INACTIVE LAVA ZONE SO IT IS OUT OF CASTLE. I'm so pissed off about losing that time and my nerves. of course I didn't have the jump jet upgrade (I wanted to pass all the way from the lost river to main facility, so I take need resources for crafting mk2 depth crab mode right there), so it takes several of hour with clumsy crab. Fuck this game without map, they're just kidding about navigate this game

Beacons are most definitely a must, it took me a few runs to mark entrances down since I easily get lost

I got into these places by building "stepping stone" bases from the top of the lava pit down to the big alien base, using the sea glide. Took me a few trips to build them all. Each base was just a tube next to a thermal plant. Once I got all the portals unlocked, I went in with the prawn suit. I'm glad you said you have to craft the second blue tablet. I had to craft a second one, and I just thought I missed finding them both :-/

Thank you so much for making this video, Granddaddy. I went in the same way you did with my Cyclops, but when I got in the cavern, I got lost. Got attacked by the Sea Dragon a couple times but I somehow managed to extinguish the fires and repair the damage. Twice. I escaped him using the defense system and creature decoy. I'm currently hiking around what I'm sure is the lava castle in my prawn suit, looking for that doorway. In your video you approached the castle in an easterly direction when you entered the cavern. I'll be trying to exit the inactive lava zone by heading in a westerly direction from the lava castle. ** Interesting note ** Just previous to my journey into the inactive lava zone, I was outright attacked by a crab squid and was killed by a warper. Twice. Same warper. Warped me out of prawn suit, when I tried to get back in, it pierced me with its long claw, killing me. I respawned in a hab I build not far from there. I returned to my prawn suit with my sea glide and it killed me again. Third try, I managed to re-enter my prawn suit and escape. The crab squid I killed with my drill arm. Didn't take much. But I was Very surprised to get outright attacked by these two creatures. Thanks for all the butt saving videos you worked hard on, GG :-D

I turn interior lights off before I start engine. Also, I use headlight only when necessary and its easy to turn off with right click. So, when you see a leviathan, just turn off engine and headlight. Wait untill it gets far away from you. They will also stop attacking when you turn off all. (Not sure if interior lights applied but I just turn it off before I drive anyway.) I'm almost reaching to end game and my cyclops got hit by leviathan only 1 time from 2 different leviathans so far. I had leviathans swim around my cyclops closely many times by the way and I sure did feel anxiety but not afraid knowing it wont attack haha

There's another path instead of going straight across the active lava field, go to the right and hug the wall basically. It will bring you around to the side of the building and avoid much of the lava but still will have to sprint for the door and keep an eye out for the big guy. From the lost river tree entrance to the Inactive lava area just keep right hugging the wall and work your way around you will go right behind and above the entrance to the active lava area just look out for a lava waterfall and the door is above that. These paths seem a little easier. Last time I played I tried different paths to see how they were. I actually went into creative mode and made sure my memory was correct. But the same warnings apply,

You can get away with your Cyclops as long as you go silent, then when you leave you cyclops, make sure to remove all batteries. This makes your Cyclops invisible and the energy suckers won't have anything go drain.

I’ve found that crabsquids always die in 13 hits of the thermoblade so one just over half charged shot with the stasis rifle puts them in their place Also when you get to any of the alien facilities pls DO NOT exit your prawn because I’ve lost 2 prawn suits to them clipping underground like 20 meters and I am on my first playthrough so I didn’t want to spawn one (I also didn’t know how, I’m on console)

The first time I went there is actually when I first got my prawn suit. The only reason is because my cyclops got stuck and my prawn suit and myself fell through the map all the way down to the lava zone and I was killed by a Sea dragon.

for people here years later... no problem to bring your Cyclops... turn off engine if seadragon is in range on the sonar, you might get a hit, but it leaves again when engine is turned off... use shield, turn engine off, when it leaves turn shield off... done no damage... and you can park there all you want it wont touch it, can sail straight to the tunnel just fine

So, I had an absolute mother of a time getting my Cyclops down here in the first place. Spent a lot of time building a big base by the Tree, very happy with it actually even have this awesome landing pad for my Prawn to jump up into the Cyclops. It's honestly better than my home base in the Shallows. But taking the Cyclops through the lava zones just sounds like suicide!!!! I don't want to lose the thing, not after all the effort it took to get it >

Good morning GDG. Great informative video my friend. I love your guides because you take your time & explain most things. I give you a shout out in every Live Stream & invite my followers to go to your channel if I cannot explain enough. I am currently at the Lava Biome stage & by Pure accident or Luck, I came down just to get Kyanite via the Tree of Life entrance in my Store Room Cyclops. I built a Scanner room right next door to the castle. Apparently my genuine surprise was a sight to see & my poop & pee was my fear Factor when I bumped into a huge rock that then moved & roared. If you know how to find my Twitch, there is 1 day left b4 that Stream is removed. Anyways, going back down there to build on Tuesday nights Live Stream & prepare to finish the game at the weekend. I had to watch your video just to see how much by chance I got right without help. Oh yes,the front of the Aurora entrance where the bulbs are is the best way down as you suggested because it is quiet, huge entrance without danger. GDG, you are absolutely Correct,.. except there are 2 Reapers patrolling the entrance now since my 1st trip down to the Lost River to build my Lost River HQ in the Tree of Life cavern but hanging over the Brine fall that leads to the Lava Biome.
