Hey Sarah, love the vid! Your dogs seem to be ok with your style. What you are doing is cool with me. Showing the rig, the landscape, camping.... All the stuff that makes a person want overland in a Suburban!! For me it will now be in a Tahoe!!!! I'm coming back strong!!!!!

I went to Twin Falls in 2010 and look forward to going back. The people were nice and the town felt like home. Good video.

How tall are you? And can you lie down on the bed for a size comparison? I'm 6'2" and want to see if it's roomy enough and comfortable for two people.

I’m 6’ even and I never had any problem sleeping in mine.

Hey! I am 5’2, but my husband is 6’ and sleeps comfortably!

I’m 5’9” and sleep comfortably, I think at 6’2” you might hang off the edge a bit. My wife and I fit cozily but we’re smaller people.

Nice. This question may sound a little confrontational but what are the lifespans of the engines and vehicles that you convert? Don't laugh but I could see that lifestyle as an alternative to retirement.

Realistically, Chevys last a really long time and can be repaired over and over. There is a huge supply of parts and a large knowledge base. The human body wears down and can only be repaired a little. Be prepared to be able to do less as time goes by. I know people my age that are only slightly less able. But many others and I have a much harder time doing the basics, much less skydiving and cliff jumping (which I have done and enjoyed).

I usually plan on around 300k with regular maintenance. Sometimes the transmission will need to be rebuilt before this but the engines and other drivetrain usually will make it past 300k.

The transmission on these vehicles are "meh," but the engines are great. The transmission in my Tahoe needed to be rebuilt at 165,000 miles, but I suspect the original owner did a lot of towing with it.
