A lot of people speculate that Jin sees the evil in V. My theory say Jin is Demian and V is Sinclair (the MC in Demian). At the end of the novel, Demian kisses Sinclair as a symbol of Sinclair finally being free and independent. Jin represented Demian, an all knowing character. J-Hope represent Demian's mother Frud Eva (his painting says EVA on the bottom). I just thought it was an interesting connection. I read Demian's Sparknotes and realized so many connections between Wings and Demian. The bird in Wings is the Sparrow Hawk, a bird that appears in Demian too. Neitzche's ideology also influenced Demian and appeared in Blood Sweat Tears: One must have chaos within to give birth to a dancing star. In short, Wings is stepping out of youth through a very tedious process and finding oneself.

If you didn't read Demian you'll probably found this theory more logic but once you'll read the first chapter of the book you won't be able to believe any other theory but that of Jin being the only one alive and everyone else is just representing his alter ego

Maybe Jin's short film was him in the afterlife, but things start to go wonky (scratches on the door, everything going wibby wobbly, his reflection having a ripple) because the boys are trying to bring him back. He looks around because he can hear them crying out for him and is trying to find them. They succeeded because he left the room and saw the bird painting(their way of communicating or reaching out to him?). He walked down the hallway into the light, thus returning to life and the boys. Edit: Rapmon takes about the bird(Jin) flying to God, but Jin sings about not being able to fly. Since the boys tried and succeeded in bringing him back to life, Jin could no longer fly and that is why he sang about that.

Jin's lyrics talks about him not being able to fly, which can be seen as two differnt things. Like you said, it can mean that he can't die, but it can also mean he can't stay. Flying is mostly used as a metaphor for being free, so when he says stuff like 'i can't fly' it could be seen as 'i can't be free', like he can't escape his fate. And maybe that's the reason the short films are called Wings. You fly with wings, so maybe this is the members getting wings and being free from their shitty youth? And maybe why Jin's short film is called awake is either because he's A) realsing he can't escape his death and dies or B) HE AWAKES FROM HIS COMA! Maybe when he got in the car accident (that's what we agreed on, right?) he slipped in a coma? And when he walked into the light, that was him waking up? you know, because hospitals are bright af? And the rest are in thearapy because their bff is in a coma and then they talk about all of the past shit that has happend. Maybe this whole thing with Jin's short film is a coma? Him being alone, being delusional, kinda crazy is because he's in a coma? idk

And what if he had forgotten all about him and his life so that's why he can't 'fly' (be free) and that's why everywhere in the hospital are props from the past of his friends. Also I think the camera in jimin's lie is Jin ( they are on the hospital the two of them) and he is showing his dark past try to explain to Jin what happened to others cuz if you look carefully the camera showing jimin some circles that have some damage that are the other bts members pasts damages , when he shows him someone else's circle damage jimin laughs but when he shows his own jimin start to fall in the water showing that jimin had a very powerful damage than others while he doesn't remember others damage

TBH I'm pretty happy you realise that the book is just at theme. People are saying that's all these films are about but that's really stupid because they link back to the youth erra so it doesn't really make sense that all of that was just about a book lol. The book is a theme for the story, the book is not the story itself. Especially since there was no link to the book before. BTS have been hinting at butterflies the entire times so I really like this. ALSO I HOPE JIN IS ALIVE TOO TBH but it also makes sense he's dead for your other theory anyway so I just think you're right not matter what you say lol

Yes and I think it's only being used as a theme for the short films. They're only teasers. Linking the short films back to Sinclair and naming the boys as Jin's alter egos doesn't explain the mental patient theme or the butterfly effects Ally showed. BTS have only now just started using this book as a theme, but the butterfly effect has been evident for a while. BTS have used other things as themes like a movie called Lost River (which ally made a theory on) but that wasn't the whole story, it's just a theme. I think Demian is used in the films to show that the boys are now looking back on their youthful days (like ally mentioned about the lyrics) because they wanted to do do a flash back of the youth erra concept, and show they are now moving on from this concept. However, I believe Ally's theory makes more sense for the wings concept , because she has said that she is giving a theory for the concept since these short films are teasers. Jin's short film also fits Ally's theory that Jin was dead, which is of course a pretty popular theory. People also say this whole concept is about this book and it isn't. That's all i'm saying, Ally's theory is for the concept and not just targeting these films and nothing else, because these films are only teasers and this theme using Demian won't continue because Jin's short film is like the end of that theme anyway. Idk if she's right that he was brought back to life, but I like the theory because the butterfly effect makes lots of sense for BTS (they have always hinted this) and can't wait to see the mvs to see what's really going on (:

HII EVERYONE ^_^ SO I JUST WANT TO SAY that the reason I didn't give all the speicifc connections to the book is because I very much the book is only a theme. (I looked into the book and if you're curious about the connections for the theme, look up the book and check it out! It's reall cool! There are other theories on youtube showing the connections of the book too!). I don't really think WINGS as a new concept is going to continue to surround around this book, I think it was just done for these short film teasers. It's the same as when BTS referenced the movie Lost River, this was simply a theme for that MV, and no longer was used for anything else later on in the concept. This theory is for the concept. In this video I wanted to set up a theory for the whole new concept! WINGS is a new concept and these short films are only teasers, so realistically who knows how they're gonna do it LOL (This is the reason I don't usually do theories for teasers beacause I find it pointless most the time haha). Future music videos will answer questions and continue the concept! I also love the theory about the boys being Jin's alter-egos but I just don't like how it doesn't explain the random mental patient theme hahaha so I wanted to give reason why :) Butterflies and the butterfly effect has always been something BTS hints at, so I felt this fits this theory. Other than that I also just wanted to show all those butterfly effect changes, and how those lyric slides join up to tell the whole youth concept. I think they all live in diferent universes, but they are all connected. They are kinda aware of this, but they can't face eachother. They try to find ways to communicate with eachother, but someone else doesn't allow it. Like the locked telephone booth in Rap Monster's film. They try to cope with it and find a way to meet, but they can't. So this affects them so much, they end up killing themselves. But the timeline never ends, it's like a movie that you can't stop, playing over and over again. So, are they dead or not? Depending when you see it.

Ally I also really love how you always encourage other people to comment their own theories. Other youtubers and people are so mean and always say only their theory is right, and shoot down other people's. Some even delete comments of other people's theories. I seriously think Jimin's short film had a slight reference to 'Snow White and the 7 dwarfs'. like the stepmother controls Snow White, someone is controlling Jimin(the depiction of hospital and the brief reference to pills shows that someone is controlling Jimin's state of mind and body). like the step mother, the camera is continuously keeping a watch on Jimin. like Snow White, Jimin is all alone, with no one to keep him a company. and he lies to himself that he has friends with him, like Snow White imagines friends in animals and birds(the reference to a pillow fight when no one is with him). the stepmother lies to Snow White that the Apple is pure and clean(the Apple falling in water). Snow White eats the Apple and falls unconscious. Falling unconscious, almost dead is her curse. While Jimin, who eats the Apple realizes the friends he imagined are either not real or not with him(him collapsing in the bath tub, crying in rain/shower, etc) he reaches his hand out, trying to reach out for his friends, but there's no one there. realizing the truth is his curse. after realizing, he cannot smile or be happy like he was during the opening shots of the film which is also referenced in the lyrics 'give me my smile, find my innocence.'

Maybe bringing Jin back made him insane? Maybe part of his soul wasn't brought back and he's insane because he's not his whole self? Maybe his soul whispers to him and that's why he's looking around all the time. Part of him is living, but another part of him is still dead? I think that's why he walked into the light... maybe he just wants to be whole again? For the other boys, I agree with what you said at the end. Maybe when they brought Jin back, it didn't erase the other life or storyline from their memories? Maybe they remember everything about both storylines. They remember the whole time, but two different ways... if you know what I mean... The one's who were depressed (Jimin & J-Hope) have been hospitalized because they're the most volatile? Jimin and J-Hope might have tried so hard to convince people of their memories of Jin's death and all the other things that happened before the Fire MV. The memories might also be making them go insane, just in general. The memories of the other life might be overlapping with this new life after they broke the curse, so they can't tell the difference between this life and the other. Rap Monster is regretful, but still trying to move on like he did in Run, he's back to doing things he used to (tattooing himself just like he did in the Danger MV). Jungkook is accepting of everything and that's why he has such bad dreams because he knows it all happened but wants to move on so badly and accept everything (just like in Run), that he didn't try to convince anyone his memories were real like J-Hope and Jimin did. And V is just working to protect his sister without killing their father. But he can't help but feel like he's still locked away. The truth of what he did in the other life still haunts him and he's still guilty about it. Also, V is remembering more than the others, it seems. You can see flashbacks in his short film that the other films don't really have. So V probably feels trapped in a world that he feels isn't real because he knows what he did... he knows the decisions he made and doesn't feel like this new life changes any of it.

My Theory is Jin has an alter ego or Multiple Personality Disorder. And the other members represents the lives created by Jin's Mind. The others shows the pain and things Jin is Going through. And so In short film #7 Awake, Jin was getting dizzy when he layed down showing he is delusional of having 6 friends. Jin walk away from the room and the camera goes back the room showing 6 polaroids representing the other members that Jin had finally left and realize that they weren't real and ready to face reality. Even the video were they are taking a picture as a group? With an old camera? When the photo is taken the other member disappear and only Jin appears right? Because he was alone the whole time. And the part where Jimin is holding a photo where Jin disappered represents that Jin is not real in there own perspective. Did ya get me? Lol. Sorry for my Bad Engrish~ xD

I think a bit different, though, i believe that the 6 friends and their lives are created by Jin's mind basing on stuff Jin sees in that house or in his room or wherever he is in Awake, so for example he created jimin from the apple, jungkook from that painting, and etc... so obvioulsy they are not real, they are only in jin's imagination (?) I just wanted to mention something, idk if you saw it yet but in the close up Hobi's eye in MAMA he is looking at that same door V painted in RUN and was hitting with something in STIGMA and i noticed if you look very closely the God Abraxas that Namjoon was talking about is in the pic and the moon is on the right, sun on the left it also says "WING/S?" and "V" under it. I don't know if this means anything but also in Jin's video, the wallpaper is Abraxas. I was just thinking maybe they're being controlled by him I don't know I still want to look more into what Abraxas does/known for something like that. Also i noticed that in the pic of the mom and her child it says "Eva" on the side and when they show the WINGS logo transforming one of the circles had "Eva" all over it and that was the same circle they showed Jimin when he was in front of the camera.

I think that he doesnt go to a good god. Instead Abraxas is the devil, tricking him. That is why V was scratching out the word Abraxas in his short film. Then V makes a sacrifice by selling his soul to the devil to get Jin back. Thats why he has the scars and gets wings in the newer music. Then one by one they all follow? Im not sure about Boy meets Evil yet but km hoping once more music comes out it will make sense

When the doctor is writing on the clipboard, written next to 'assessment' is what I'm guessing to be munchausen syndrome. The definition of munchausen syndrome is as follows: Munchausen syndrome is a factitious disorder, a mental disorder in which a person repeatedly and deliberately acts as if he or she has a physical or mental illness when he or she is not really sick. Munchausen syndrome is considered a mental illness because it is associated with severe emotional difficulties. If what is written on the clipboard applies to J-Hope then that could mean that J-Hope is sturggling with some severe emotional issues and trying to blame his bad feelings of guilt, depression, etc etc on some sort of sickness, which would lead to him repeatedly saying that he's sick. The pills could be to either calm him down or put him to sleep, and the same room with the paints could be some alternate reality which could be part of a nightmare. This was just something I noticed and people didn't seem to pay attention to it much so I decided to just spread some knowledge.

I read something about a theory related to the book named Demian. It said that it's about Emil Sinclair's life. Jungkook is the youngest and his video was the first one to be released. He plays the childhood version of Sinclair. And in the short film he is pure and doesn't do anything destructive. Sinclair begins the novel as a mentally precocious 10 year old boy. The Hangul quote about 50 seconds in reads "The dawn right before the sun rises is the darkest" That was before he met Damian. The few frames directly afterwards play an echoed audio clip of Jungkook singing. "The 15 year old me who didn't have anything" clears up the fact that JK indeed represents child! Sinclair. The whistle in the beginning of Begin is a link to the book as well. A boy named Kromer often whistled to summon Sinclair and threaten him. Sinclair is afraid of Kromer since he is not a good guy and so, he even feared the whistle and panicked whenever he heard it. Sometimes he is so caught up in his fears and even heard it in his dreams and woke up terrified. The painting. Sinclair painted a portrait. Someone who looks like Demian but not exactly. Later, he pins the painting in to the window and when the sun rays pass through it, the painting has features of Sinclair himself. Further ahead he discovers that the painting is of Eva. The book is Solely about the development of Sinclair both mentally and physically. I got that Begin theory from wattpad. The book is called BTS WINGS EXPLAINED! the author is shooknae. I think the theory is pretty accurate. And the author also explained what's behind of every short film in the album wings.

These are so cool...This is all head canon for me now, that the boys live in this sort of dream-like, supernatural world with every action affecting the others in some way. The comparisons you did with the memories and the changes side by side was so cool...I especially got chills watching Jungkook's. It looked EXACTLY like that was the memory he was reliving. Loved it!!! Oh, and the music was so awesome. It fit perfectly. Serious, but also mysterious and almost dream-like.

I have NO IDEA what that means though ;~; ) Also, please oh please do a video explaining the link to Danger. I saw the parallels and obviously the clips, but this was so out of left field I'm still boggling. If you wanted to do videos on each individual short film, that wouldn't be bad. I still need to ponder more, but I'm curious how you interpret things like Jimin being "shot" as well as flashing to the burning piano. Or how the short films are memories, but then Mama seems more like pure change where the doctor doesn't believe J-Hope has an actual drug problem/medical condition. Long story short, if you make it, I will watch.

What if it's the other way around? What if Jin is the last one alive? The others fell prey to the evil, and now Jin is the only one left and he's gone insane, crazy, knowing his friends aren't there anymore. So he's constantly imagining, seeing situations that are not there, hallucinating, dizzy, etc. It's because he cannot handle the fact that his friends are gone. And he can't let it go, he can't fly, he can't be free because they aren't there anymore. His reason for life isn't there anymore.

So, I have a Theory. Maybe Jin is in a koma, listening to the others storys how they acted out. This is why he keeps looking around; he can hear them but can't see them. The actions of the boys are a 'consequence' by them telling him about the actions; he wants to understand them. This could also be the reason why he's in a hospital bed. And he walks into the light because he's slowly waking up from the coma; his songs name is 'Awake'. Does this make sense? But I Love your Theories, keep up the good work and thank you! (:

I believe Jin is in a coma type state and he's between life and death. Everyone is trying to revive him and Jin is watching them in spirit while bit by bit remembering the past, what was done, how he affected the others and coming to terms with it before moving forward, waking up.i just can't see him as dead or as one being with multiple personalities. It seems more real than that, everyone is an individual dealing with there own problems in there lives just in different ways and their stories are connected.

This is by far the most intricate and detailed wings theory I have seen so far and it is personally the most relevant I also wanted to add that in the spring day MV jimin hangs up a pair of shoes (traditional for when someone dies) which perfectly ties in to this theory (since Jin was bare foot). If there was a way for both to make sense but of course, they could both be right if there's no true answer.

+Justt AllyTo prove more that he is actually dead, u need to understand the lyrics of the song, awake. He says mabye I,I can never fly, like the flower petals that have wings. as u saw in the mv, all the members except jin somehow get the black wing. The six petals represent the six members, so this means he is dead and can't fly like the other members. He later Burns the petals that he has been bringing all along which I think that shows he gave up and went to heaven, the after life. Another reason he is dead is because in the beginning of the song he says,I want to stay here, I want to dream more ( dreaming of him being with his friends as metiond in the other videos ) but it's time for me to leave. Meaning that he is leaving I'm not sure at the end if he actually left to the after life or just kept walking and running away bc in the song he keeps saying, I want to try, I want to keep walking with the six pedals in my hands. I guess we will find out later!!!!

I agree with all of this. But ALSO, in the video for Spring Day, there's a sign that says Omela's, and the story of Omela is that everyone can live in a happy perfect utopia if one person suffers. I think maybe Jin is sacrificing himself (because he feels bad about making his friends suffer) so that the others can be happy again. It would also kinda explain why he disappears from the photo at the end of the music video for Run. BUT, I also think the members are trying to bring him back. Because throughout the music video for Run, V is constanty doing things to Jin that kind of wake him up a lil, like knocking down his house of cards and things like that. So maybe Jin is in some weird in-between state where he's stuck between life and death which would explain why he's delusional.
