You were the FIRST person I knew who was carnivore. I did lots of research. I now know the truth about nutrition! September 9th 2024 will be ONE year for me. I lost 35lbs. I am not strict. I do eat dairy, and occasional fruit. I have so much energy now. I've been sewing a LOT. I used to be tired 24/7. And I appoligize for telling you, a few years ago, that "meat is bad for kidneys" I was WRONG! We have been so recieved, all for GREED...😊

My son is back home for now...he was carnivore and it worked wonders for his gout. He's trying to get back to it. I can't tell you how nice it is to have something cooked in the fridge. lol. He fires up the grill and cooks hamburgers steaks, chicken wings....etc. Its helping me get back to keto again. Loving it. Targett has a bag of steakhouse patties that are so good. Really nice flavor.

What about spices, herbs and chili peppers? I have never been able to stay on a program when I can't have spicy. Can I do it on carnivore?

If you can tolerate spices, then yes, you can use them for flavor. For some people the spices will stop them from healing. I do okay with spices but mostly just use salt. Yes, swim all summer and walk when the pool is closed. And I don't force it. I do it when I want. Might be in the pool 20 minutes or 2 hours. It's rare that I have time to spend 2 hours in the pool, lol.

I’m slim like your sister and went meat only for a whole year to try and heal a medical problem, but I lost an incredible amount of weight from my already thin body very quickly. I tried to stuff myself full of as much meat as possible to get the calories up, but I continued to look like I was wasting away. It didn’t work for me, but it affects everyone differently so I hope it works for your sister. Just please warn her than she might need to eat much more than she expects to keep her weight on 🙏🏽

What weight did you start at and how much did you lose? What do you consider an incredible amount of weight?

@@darlene.michaud I began at 170 pounds (I’m just over 6 foot tall) and within the first month I lost 35 pounds. Thats a lot for my body type and the rapidity of the weight loss. I had been eating about 3 rib eyes and lots of butter and bacon each day, and more, but the weight just melted off, I looked awful. My ass completely left the building 🤣I was able to keep a bit more weight on by changing to ground beef ( 2 packs of 500g a day) plus poached salmon and chicken, so I put about half of what I lost back on again. Still felt underweight and weak. Not bashing the diet though, so many like you and many more are thriving on it. My body just didn’t seem to accept it. However I was pretty strict carnivore, just meat butter and salt. No cheating. I’ve seen it transform your life and hope the same for your sister.

Okay, so you were not slim like my sister. She's barely over 110 pounds. I thought if you were like here and you lost an incredible amount of weight that you must have gone down to 70 pounds or so. And then I wondered how you even knew how slim my sister was, lol. We are hoping carnivore will heat her ailments and allow her to gain weight.

@@darlene.michaud I’m a guy and a fairly tall one , so not exactly like your sister, no. But like your sister, I’m slim. By the way Darlene, I don’t know if you still listen to asmr, but I’ve been wanting to recommend an Asmrtist to you for months that I thought you’d enjoy. His channel is called Come To Rest ASMR and he does a lot of fast loud aggressive noises, in really original ways, and on top of that he is a truly incredible musician and plays at the end of each video. Just throwin’ it out there, I love it for background noise, but it may not be your cup of tea.

Very few hurricanes, but Maine does get some. Be more concerned about the cold winters and blizzards, frozen pipes, snow removal, iced up cars. That's the shit I learned to hate. Fun as a kid. Not fun as an adult. Horrible as an oldster, lol.
