It's a habit they did a lot in the show when there was Wu around them that they had to gather quickly so a lot of the time Shen Gong Wu that was orginally in someone else's hands would wind up being weided by someone else.

I think it might be because omi's size was magically changed, whereas the Cyclops is naturally that large

Omi tried to use the changing chop sticks and reversing mirror to make himself big. It made him giant as he wanted but his large size was more trouble for everyone around him as he tried his regular training while giant. One problem was Omi being a giant couldn’t fly with Dojo making him late to a showdown where the cyclops defeated Clay losing the reversing mirror. Omi’s use of the changing chop sticks made him smaller then normal, resulting in excessive us only making Omi small enough to fight ants.

The changing chopsticks can return you to your normal size if you used it to shrink from your normal size down to a small size. Omi initially combined the chopsticks and the mirror to turn into a giant and then tried to go back to normal from the giant size without using the mirror, and somehow they screwed up the magic I guess

mrjweezy64 yeah originally he's supposed to say water since that's his elememt but for some reasom they changed it after a couple of episodes in the script so everytime he said it the lips never match up and you can tell they neveer told the animation studio

Ian R. Nava Huber The plot hole is that when Omi used CC without the mirror when he was I giant, the second used should have turned him back into a giant rather than making him smaller like how they normally work.

Doctor Plague the main reason is Omi taps the Chopsticks too many times they'll take one tap to make a person to become regular size again.

He tried to make himself bigger using the reversing mirror and the changing chopsticks, but then he realised it was a bad idea and he decided he needed to return to normal. Unfortunately they lost the reversing mirror before he could shrink back. When he tried to shrink back with just the chopsticks he shrunk to the size he was in the video which is why Omi challenged the cyclops for the reversing mirror.
