I think this may be the most wholesome outdoor film I have ever watched. Its hard to narrow down a favourite moment but seeing Griz catching fish on the river bank with Fraser Jade on his chest was a top notch dad moment! Congratulations to everyone involved in putting this together!

Just the opposite actually! Griz was fully living this lifestyle before we asked him if we could tag along on his adventures and make a film with him. Our hope is to inspire more people to get out and explore their own local wilderness and see what it has to offer them!

My dad taught me the ways of the outdoors I learned all about getting hammered drunk, littering, starting fights with random passers-by, how to hide your alcohol whhen rangers come around and how to start a fire with gasoline.

Another great one from Fargone. This guy gets it, protection of the environment, foraging, finishing, instilling a passion for nature in his kid and filling the freezer. Personally, I think my favourite part was harvesting the two elk, especially cause it was his buddies first. That is a memory that will last a life time and its awesome when you get to share it with someone.

Love this!! My husband used to push the small of my back when walking up a big hill, when i was 8-9months pregnant. It was SO needed!! Our kids were a little older when hubby got into hunting, but they are big enough now to be getting more hands on with everything. And they absolutely LOVE it. We are coastal in Australia, so we can fish and the boys spearfish all year round if the there is no swell. Plenty of Rusa deer in our area, but not a lot of public land. They usually head west and target Sambar. Fill the freezers is the goal!! It will be a few more years and then all of us will be able to contribute to filling them up. The satisfaction as a parent is hard to truly describe.

My new favourite outdoor film by far! Love the wholesome family moments and your core values you share through the land as well as your passion and hard work for sustainable living. My partner Scott and I are expecting our first kiddo any day now and my favourite part was watching you guys share your core values with Fraser and immersing her in your lifestyle right from the get go. We are very excited to get out with our little peanut this spring and start the adventures as a family of 3 and share our sustainable lifestyle with our kiddo and teach them so many valuable life lessons through nature like you guys have. Best part, hands down, was the scene that started at 18:38 with a tailgate diaper change just before you took him fishing. As a dad I have countless tailgate diaper changes while exploring out with my family and I've come to learn that the most memorable family memories are those spent outdoors. Keep it up. This film is inspiring and you've clearly dedicated time, energy, and resources into mastering all the small little skills that add up to being able to provide for your family.

Couldn't tell you the last time we have spent a dollar on food. Between farming, hunting, fishing, trapping and bartering. Living off of the land is the way it has been in my family for generations, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Our country and land is beautiful with so much to offer (excluding urban areas). People watch it on their TV's but I'm proud to have acquired the skills and knowledge to live it. It's nice to see more interest in people adapting this traditional way of life, when most run from it. Cheers to you and your family bro. Keep up the hard work🤘🏽

Those rivers, woods, flora, animals, fishes, the smiles on your faces and the tranquility of it all give me trust in humanity and that it is possible to make a living in the wilderness. Favorite moment is absolutely when you find/stumble over that first buck you shot! That was emotional - eyewatering. My favorite part was seeing it all come together at the dinner table with the family. Well done.....this is how we are suppose to live our lives.

Now that's a film that should be shown at all hunter safety courses! Very informative on how hunting and fishing and all is very important to show young people that you can live on harvesting animals and fish. And just enjoying the outdoors. Great movie!

I am stunned. These guys are living an absolute dream of mine. Can't wait to get my thesis done and get studying for my hunting license when I see this. Wishing you all the best for your young family!

nice seeing the whole family out enjoying nature, years ago I was posted out in western Canada and I enjoyed watching and listening for the elk to call back. Good stuff.

Loved pretty much all of this! Well done on basically everything IMHO! Love seeing a family hunting/fishing/foraging! Seeing Scotti go from 3 weeks prior to birth fishing to holding a baby as you 2 cross a stream to fish with your Nearly 2month old is a beautiful thing as was the parting clip of you Catching/releasing one while holding the little one is just awesome! I would be remiss not to mention the 2 bull day with one being a first time Elk and then he just walks up on your elk as your packing out his!!!! Yeah Pretty epic and VERY well produced! Thanks for sharing!

This is one of the best outdoor films I've ever seen. So cool to see the various harvests from different areas of the province. Made me want to get out and explore more of them. Favorite scene has to be stumbling upon the second downed elk!

My favorite moment was seeing husband and wife duck hunting together. Actually, all the scenes with the family fishing and hunting together throughout were fantastic! This is what I’m trying to do as much as possible with my own family; some days and seasons are easier than others, but I endeavor to persevere.

Love that! There are many challenges in raising a family in the outdoors but it's well worth the effort!

I'm honestly speechless at how perfect this video is. It encapsulates everything I one day hope to experience myself, every part of it. The family aspect, the hunting and fishing, oh my, just amazing. It's hard not to get jealous but I'm just glad to see how thankful you guys are knowing how lucky you are to make it all work. Congrats and absolutely amazing video!

I'm SO glad KZbin recommended me this video and this channel! I wanna learn how to be more self-sufficient so badly and since I'll be moving more north-west (Canada) soon, I might get a better opportunity! ESPECIALLY the idea of teaching my children someday! On another note, My most favourite thing about this video, other than the inspiration, is the cinematography. Being an artsy person, this was *chef's kiss* looking forward to more!

One of the best videos out there…literally captured the best of BC and what it has to offer. Amazing Job! My favourite part is just how passionate you and your family are about the outdoors..truly inspiring. Lately I feel like I live to work and this video has changed my outlook and makes me excited to work to live, and spend more time doing what I love in the outdoors.

Great piece of film! I am a carpenter/hunter/fisher too! My favorite part is fishing with your baby! I did that too (25 years ago) but I got yelled at for not being safe by someone who didn't know me, oh well, I waved and kept fishing... it didn't stop me from fishing with my boy, now he can out fish me!
