Wait, why aren't there more tutorials from you? This is pure gold! Substance designer lacks good tutorials and this is hands down one of the best I've seen

One of the best-presented tutorials I've found yet! Great thanks. The current version of Designer's got a Crop node which you can use to cut out the pebbles for tiling (video minute 53) instead of fiddling with the transform node.

A very good tutorial. Especially showing values (ex: on levels nodes) is a good learning enabler that most of the other tutorials overlook. One thing I'd like to see is, a box showing each node's final parameters if instructor is going to play with the knobs to show outcomes of various settings. While I was watching the video I immediately looked for what you'd shared so far. Seeing nothing other than this video made me sad would be an understatement. If you need encouragement to share more, there are 67 great comments to cheer you up. Wish you a great day!

This is fantastic. Though as an aside, the uniform color node, I've found I get better performance if I set it to Absolute (as opposed to relative to parent), and decrease its size to 16x16

I don't know if its said in the video but I'd advice to check some other vids beforehand as well or it might be a bit fast and partly theres quite some of "Set it to this value and to that" which may be confusing at some points as to what it does. But if your just a bit accustomed to the software this is an amazing video as in working from macro to micro. Thanks!

From the normal map image on gumroad it's pretty clear that you're losing detail due to blowout (those flat spots where you exceeded the range of lightness values)

I was wondering is there any actual consequences to using excessive amounts of nodes? Like if I kept on tweaking it in inefficient ways and adding more, what would that mean?

@@danielrugu No worries Daniel, check which node is causing the issue. You can do that by connecting your nosies to your "Transformation 2D" for previewing it....when you find which node is causing the problem you can blur it by using "BlurHQGreyscale". Try to play with the intensity, this node will soften the line you're having. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more question.

@@lers2484 It's not actually voiced by the person who created it. They paid some random white guys to do the voice over. Probably had conflicts and had to buy additional voiceovers on Fiverr. This is really, really fishy content. They probably cribbed someone else's tutorial altogether.
