Brilliant, more of this please. A great resource to better understand the uses of the nodes. *Edit - it would also be really nice to see the steps of exporting this for use in a scene in substance painter.

I think a fantastic Idea for a quick tips would be a starter way to make cracks! Like something to use in stone or concrete. Cracks is something every designer artist has to face eventually.

I often got stepping artifacts when I convert warp node output to a normal map. I think I tried switching the warp node to 32F but it doesn't solve the issue. For sure I can put a blur node at the end to blur the artifacts away. But sometimes I don't want to blur my pattern. any quick fix for that?

If you max out the steps/quality, no other way than to reduce distance.. it's an unfortunate limitation of the design. You can try chaining two Slope blurs with less distance though...
