I hate to say this but the skit went right over both of your heads!!!! The skit is more than just a sub-teacher pronouncing names incorrectly. Let me explain - the teacher at the beginning said he was from the inner city. What the skit was implying by him saying that is - people in the inner city of the US have a tendency to pronounce names and have names that typically have what you would call, an inner-city emphasis. So the teacher is taking what he's familiar with in regards to pronouncing names from the inner city to this new school, which is not from the inner city. Get it?
