Deja Vu FM & Rinse FM gave a platform to the Grime scene. During the birth of Grime, Raw Mission FM was based on Devons Rd in trading estate and in the estate off of Roman Rd as well as Canning Town. It was on those stations the first clashes took place. Pay As U Go sending for HLC live on Rinse was pivotal moment in how clashes took shape.

After that clash with Heartless Crew, that set on Rinse FM was when I first heard Pulse X. I was like "What the hell is this?!" and hearing Wiley and Maxwell going nuts on the Instrumental lol.

Good point!@@Nainocard I think I heard Fonti play it first but Pay As U Go made it blow with that clash set!

@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio Fonti played Pulse X first? Never knew that, but for me, that was the first time. Everybody wanted that Vinyl at that point lol.

@AlanBrownSugar I'm sure that Freeze FM was based in Middlesex and not North West London, i.e. Harlesden, Cricklewood, Kilburn etc.

1 of the best. I still have that 2x 12 ep on dump valve and the newer 1. Loved that sound.

Another great interview. Remember all those tunes coming out especially Aim High Volume 2 and exactly true target had carved a groundbreaking signature sound at that time. Please release all those unreleased tunes from that time, even if just on Bandcamp. ‘Chillin’ with Ruff Sqwad for example was worthy of a longer mix and single sided white label

People can type up "Neutrino made the first Grime tune", which he didn't. Dilemma is just the pre-Pulse X, as in an Instrumental making room for MC's to spray their bars. Target is 1,000% right because if you was around those areas at the time, East London is the hub of creating Grime. The boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest is the network.

target is right when he said Bow was the home for grime, this is also why grime is half dead today , its all internet shit and its fractured , that's why people try soo hard to cling on to certain things

Grime come from garage. east London boys were emcee in clubs b4 grime became a genre. industry politics divided the gang. Some of y’all don’t appreciate the opportunities u’ve had. Substantial Wealth & travelling the world.
