Each color is a separate city with unique art for that city. For the Kickstarter you could choose 5 cities or get all 20. You will only use 5 but for the Dice Tower library I think that version will be nice.

Sad you did not flip over the player boards. The 20 colors is neat but excessive if you don't look at the other side.

Is that the retail box size as well? Wanted to replace my copy with this deluxe edition but getting this would mean having to get rid of my original Suburbia and atleast 2 other games and to me that trade-off is not worth it.

All those player colours were excessive Tom, and it costed 50 US dollars more than the base pledge which came with only 5, so half the cost of the game for those other 15 player colours.

Tom didn’t turn the player boards over. Each is a unique city which relates to the “CE” tiles (city landmarks). The ones at the bottom of the box are the base game ones. The ones at the top of the box when he opened were the add-ones which were optional buys.

That had an extra cost, 50 US dollars more to be exact for 15 more player colours, it is awesome if have no problem with money, but quite excessive indeed

Everyone moaning about how many player boards there are: There are 5 in the base game and the rest were an optional add on. You also can't see in this video, but each colour is a different unique city with it's own unique city tile that only they can use. Again, it was all optional.

Well not all are unique, sadly a few are copies where the misprint was not noticed. But still you would be hard pressed to not find the colour you want to play.
