I definitely agree with the dudes more that a gift from an ex is more acceptable to keep than an article of clothing (e.g hoodie) that belonged to an ex. The ownership is very apparent: the gift solely belongs to YOU while the hoodie does not. To counter what the girls say, that gifted hoodie doesn’t have to have sentimental value, either, it’s just a hoodie. Exceptions to acceptable gifts to keep in later relationships would be things like anniversary gifts or jewelry that symbolizes an important time / bond you had with your ex.

I think Cynthia’s question or statement should be rearranged, I think what she was tryna say (or this is how I interpreted it) was that she would be more upset if her guy was emotionally cheating on her than just fucking another bitch. Bc we live in hookup culture where we have sneaky links, boy toys, and one night stands and we don’t necessarily have any emotionally attraction to them, we kinda just use them as a good fuck and then move on with our day, but when someone cheats on you emotionally, it is a lot more intimate and has a lot more meaning behind it. i think that the whole sex cheating thing makes sense as to why the guys and the girls think differently girls often times see sex as more intimate so when girls cheat in any way if more emotional than physical which is why they see kissing just as bad because they would do it unless they had emotional ties to that person and for the guys it’s the opposite of that makes sense
