About the retroactive jealousy thing, I would like some opinions bc idk if this is valid. Lets say you start dating a guy, you're friendly with all his close friends and dont suspect anything at all between him and his female friends, and then 5 months into the relationship you find out on your own accord that he had hooked up with 2 girls in the same friend group before, not even a month before you and him started dating. He never told you any of it, neither did they, and all 3 of them just hung out like normal, sometimes even 1 on 1; him even going as far to ask you whether you were comfortable w it, to which you said sure bc u trusted all of them. You were clueless the whole time. After confrontation he says he didnt see the need to tell you, he says he wouldnt want to know if he was in your position, but you emphasize ur boundaries and he starts to understand and promises to tell you everything from now on. You cut ties with the 2 girls and so does he, you try to move on. Months later you thought you would be over it by now but everytime you think of those 2 girls u still feel retroactive jealousy and get upset. You gain trust issues and start overthinking. You start to question every relationship/friendship in his life. Is that invalid? Is that unfair?

id say it’s definitely valid to feel to some type of way abt that because if it weren’t for u finding out abt that, would he have brought it up to u? the answer is most likely no and he still would’ve hung out w those girls. nothing would’ve changed. but i believe it’s possible to move past it if u guys have decided to work on it, and of course it’s normal for u to still feel some type of way abt it bc u may have felt betrayed in a sense. if he’s a good guy he would understand that and would actively try to gain ur trust back and give u reassurance, but if he’s the type to tell u to get over it already bc it was the past, then u should drop him
