Subway rush hour in Beijing

That is not even THE busiest transfer station in Beijing.
It was recorded some time in between 8 and 9 am.
Pay attention on the girl in gray jacket. She tries hard to leave the train but she fails and miss her stop.
That is a daily chaos someone who lives around line 1 has to deal with every morning.

Wow i live in California and subways dont get full like that just maybe like 2 train lines tops but this is just too much. Like how do u get on time to your destination you just wake extra early?

For crowded subway stations, there should be a dedicated platform located in between the tracks exclusively for passengers to disembark (for trains at both directions). However, passengers waiting on the main platform for arriving trains have no access to them because of one-way turnstiles built for those platforms. When trains arrived, the doors on that side will open first, then they'll close after all passengers exits the train. Then the doors at the other side will open for the main platform for passengers to enter the train without any jostles. This is a construction styling that should be incorporated in busy train stations all over the world. [Copied and pasted from my last comment]

I think rules would help a bit here. a social agreement would be good, but a definate system for loading and unloading would work wonders for the speed, safety and comfort of the passengers. I am curious as to why they are so obsessed with 300 mile per hour trains, but haven't done anything to improve their passenger loading and unloading systems. I know there are a lot of people in the city, but it isn't going to get any better if they don't work out a system for moving those people on and off the train. It isn't just China that has the problem. Managers of every system seem to think passenger loading is a minor detail.

Thank God I get on at 7am and I've only one transfer between Lines 1 and 2 and then I'm off the subway for 8am :)

Dude. the worst lines are line 1, 2, 10 ,and 13. The others are better but still crowded as hell. Although if you don't ride during rush hour. Only line 1 and 2 will be slightly crowded.

In that time, they didn't. But Beijing public transportation has gone a long way since then and it has improved a lot! I got the chance to go back 6 years after the video was made and I couldn't believe how much it had improved. Subway lines multiplied in such a short time!

jo man we have it every two or five minutes, and i think there are nurse stations but i never seen one, probably hidden like the control room. spread working time is not going to work due to the massive population and other reasons.
