If you're looking for something like this, Harley Benton at Thomann Music has one called a GuitarBass. It has 3 single coils instead of the 2 humbuckers, but is otherwise very similar to this. I'd post a link, but they must be sold out right now, because nothing comes up in a search there right now. The Squier Bass VI is also similar. Those seem to be a bit harder to find though.

Just got mine about a week ago and I couldnt be happier with it. Subzero is G4M now btw. The Subzero stuff they sell now is the last that they produced under that name. Got my Rogue/638 in white. Its amazing. The quality so nice, especially for the price. If someone handed me this guitar and asked me how much I think it costs I would assume 700/800 ish. My frets are ALL completely smooth. No rough edges. A tiny glue spot but that even happens with 1k and up. I am positively surprised.

Thanks for this video. Very interesting. I’d love a 30” baritone / Bass VI but being left handed means the Sub Zero range isn’t an option for me. Also I think it’s very easy to forget (or not even realise) that with premium guitars you’re not just paying for better pickups / hardware / wood but also workmanship and QA which this video demonstrates well. Nothing worse when buying a brand new guitar when it already feels well used...

I think the sweetspot for low tuning is drop A. anything tuned below G# or G starts to sound reaaaal muddy to my ears, regardless of gauge/tension/scale length. probably something to do with how the high gain affects frequencies below that threshold

neither of you know what you're talking about. Tuning down To G, F, or Double Drop D with proper scale lenght like on 7 and 8 strings guitars and up with the proper string gauges 80 ,90 and up and it will not sound muddy at all. IM on drop F# and it sounds crispy and bright.

@@Eyeyamgod good for you, I have a Prs Baritone 27" with .64, a Bass VI 30" set up with an .99 and a converted 26.5" 7 String to Tenor in F# with an .80 on the bottom. In my ears it just sounds not good deeper, thats where I agreed, A is for me the limit. I avoid distorted my upper E frets on the VI, clean I'm fine with it.. it's just not pleasing to hear for me and not means I have "no idea what I'm talking about" it's just a preference of the Notes, simple my own opinion and not a "no knowledge of the materia" situation. @NeoRichardBlake3 жыл бұрын
Usual drop D is DADGBE, this is just an octave lower like a bass. Drop tuning, as opposed to standard tuning, implies that you're dropping the low string an extra step down, so that power chords on the low strings can be played just by barring the three strings at the same fret. Std tuning: EADGBE, drop D: DADGBE

This guitar isn't made for that kind of tuning or playstyle, just like a regular 25.5 scale guitar isn't made for Drop E1. Then, the delivery got pushed back to late January. Then, the delivery got pushed back to early February. That was when I said no, and cancelled my order. The webpage is very misleading. If it is not IN STOCK, it should not say "available to order," because it obviously is NOT available. If the website says "available to order," you had better be able to take one off the wall, and immediately ship it out. In any case, maybe I dodged a bullet. You obviously got a B-Stock, as did Matt from Ratho Quarter. In my own case, me waiting for literal MONTHS for them to ship me a B-Stock, without them telling it IS a B-Stock, that is not acceptable. I probably would have returned it anyway. I don't want to deal with dishonest companies.

At this point, you cannot. The webpage says October. Even then, don't trust the delivery date. When I ordered one, it said delivery would be the 5th of January. But the delivery kept getting pushed back, pushed back, pushed back. When they finally told me mid-February, that was when I snapped, and cancelled my order. Keep in mind the website told me it was in-stock the entire way through that ordeal. When I cancelled my order, I sent them a VERY lengthy, and VERY angry-worded letter. Almost overnight, the website changed to "not currently in stock," and the date changed to August. Basically, this is a very dishonest company. So, if you order one now, you very well could be waiting until March of NEXT YEAR, just for them to ship you a B-Stock without telling you it is a B-Stock.
