It is a well known fact that goat farming is least troublesome because they consume almost any leaves found in wilderness but require large amount of space to graze along with a man in attendance.This can be a good side business for landholding farmers which will fetch good returns.But rearing these animals scientifically in captivity require some man power as well as nutritious feed.Even then it is a profitable business,provided the owner himself put in some labour & care.This is best suited for semi arid lands in Rajasthan or elsewhere but people usually don't rear these animals in captivity due to paucity of space & expenditure involved in feeding the same.This is best suited to Kerala villages too because of non availability or expensive labour there.
