What is it about this particular piece of music that has so many of us obsessively listening to...talking about...seeking beautiful renditions of? What is it about the succession of notes, chords, tonalities, that sticks? It's the ultimate earworm. Associating it with a spectacular work of visual art is probably one reason...memories of the astonishing scenes and characters, brilliant dialogue and story telling...but even upon first viewing of Successsion, the theme seemed otherworldly. Perhaps it's the theme of our times, similar to the Star Wars theme that we heard everywhere in the 70s and early 80s.,
