Brilliant video.. I've recently started teaching after 18 years of playing, and your videos are helping me so much to consolidate ideas, concepts, reasons behind things... As well as learning many new and fabulous things of course! You teach very much like I've been taught, so I'm loving it! Thank you so much!

Thank you so, so much for this video and your other tutorials. My instructor tells me to relax so many times during my lesson. 😅 I do have a question: I find that I get "stuck" in my upbow. And I lose that relaxed grip, so I tighten in order to go up. As am I hypermobile, would stopping before I lock out help even if I can't get the whole bow?

Thanks for watching the video! Honestly, it's really hard to answer your question without actually seeing you play... No joints should ever get locked. If this means you don't go to the tip of your bow, that's fine.

Dear Ena, thanks for making it so detailed! I am able to move my wrist like a paintbrush now but my problem is, my index finger andiddle finger are closer, and my ring finger and pinky are closer, which makes a big gap between my middle and ring finger. If you could pls teach me how can I close that gap?

Hi, thank you for watching and the thoughtful comment! If that is how your hand looks like in its natural position I wouldn't worry about it too much. Is your hand relaxed? And is the thumb tip generally across from middle finger? Bring your arm by your side relaxed and then try paintbrush movement again. You can also try this movement leading with the upper arm for comparison. -Inna
