Sudan War is Exacerbating Humanitarian Needs in South Sudan

Since the beginning of the war in Sudan over a year ago, almost 680,000 people have crossed the border to seek refuge in South Sudan.
In Upper Nile State, Malakal (Bulukat transit centre) is the main passing point. After a difficult journey from the border, thousands of people arrive there in dire conditions, lacking food, water and shelter.
