Sudeley Castle and the Tomb of Katherine Parr

Philippa and Claire take you on the route Katherine Parr would have taken to chapel at her home at Sudeley Castle and where her chief mourner, Lady Jane Grey, would have walked at Katherine's funeral procession.
Katherine died prematurely of childbirth complications following the birth of a daughter to her new, and fourth husband, Thomas Seymour.
Katherine was the first royal to receive a Protestant burial and is the only Queen of England to be buried in a private chapel.

Fab video. Thank you. The ruins look amazing. You can just imagine how grand it would of been. I wish I had been born in the Tudor era. Before this video I’d never seen Catherine Parr’s tomb. I feel sorry for her. What happened to her baby she had? Claire love your hair. Xx

Hi Sharon, the baby was a little girl called Mary. Records of her disappear after the age of two and her fate is a mystery.
