Thanks so much for solving my puzzle! Glad you enjoyed the theme, and I quite liked your line of reasoning early in the video regarding how many unique digits could occur on the pink diagonal, a part of the puzzle that's quite tough to wrap one's head around (although doing the speech bubble coloring earlier on streamlines parts of it quite a bit). Oh, and you guessed exactly right: the very next puzzle I made in London was indeed called "Mind the Gap"! :) (The third in the trilogy being "Elephants and Castles" with loads of elephants sitting atop castles).

Unexpectedly, this _"strange"_ construction was another boatload of awesome Jugglerian (i.e. incommensurably beautiful and innovative, never trifling and cooly themed) logic❗️ Not just a funny joke inspired by the _"ridiculous"_ slogan.

I love this puzzle and very glad it got featured. It is quintessential Juggler - a short and relatively easy to understand ruleset, but lots of implications to figure out, followed by some absolute nuggets of logic and revelation.

I finished in 52:51 minutes. This was a really cute themed sudoku. I love it when puzzles get a personal touch like this that really flesh out the world of this sudoku. The logic was neat to uncover. I think my favorite part was ruling that 4 couldn't go into r1c2, due to r3c4 being a speech bubble that would lead on the diagonal to another speech bubble in r6c1, breaking the ordering rule. Another cool part was seeing that r8c4 couldn't be a 1 due to 1 forcing itself into r9c3, which forces a 3 above it breaking the 13 pencil mark in r8c8. This puzzle was full of cool logic like that. I love themed puzzles very much and this one was fantastic. Great Puzzle!

A much much simpler way to solve the pink line is to first note that there can only be two different digits on that line because of the leftover digits rule, then there is a speech bubble on the line and the speech bubble in upper right corner sees both camera digits so it can't be the same digit. Which means that the two digits on the line are the camera digits (have to be the same) and the speech bubble.

Very nice spot! That was the intended path, at least for us mortals that can't see 10 steps ahead in their head like Mark can ;)

And 3 & 5 don't work, as that would put either a 3 or 5 in the box 5 speech bubble, both of which are ruled out by the position of the other speech bubbles. 4 and 5 also don't work for a similar reason. Therefore the camera cells on the pink line line are either both 4 or both 5.

Intriguing and very clever puzzle, thanks. After doing thousands of sudokus it's always refreshing to come up against something which requires slightly different modes of thinking. Difficult but no long stretches of staring blankly, there was always something to think about more deeply despite the apparent minimalism. The irony is that if you told someone on the tube that you'd spotted something suspicious they would probably either stare blankly at you or listen and do nothing.

39:07 "I bet there's a way to prove this is a 2..." You mean, other than those fat red 2s in boxes 2 and 4 that point at it for 5 minutes now?????????

I was about to comment on the same thing. 😂 Also, when he decided to do sudoku with the 1 in row 1 into box 1, but refused to do the same with the 2. ????

@@RichSmith77 Yeah, when he was hovering over the middle cell in box 1 muttering about sudoku... "where does the 2 go..." and I was thinking 'in box 1', but nooo... it was '... in column 2'.... and then giving up on the 2s.

It appears to me that colouring cells (or drawing lines through them) makes them much harder to scan. It can help in parts of the solve, but it makes the standard sudoku harder I think.

Interesting that I found the break-in a bit faster than Mark, but then floundered some moving forward, breaking the puzzle a few times as I realized I'd made bad assumptions. I did finally find my way through with some medium chaining paths for eliminations, finishing in 35:28 (conflict checker off). Many thanks to Michael for a very cool, if challenging, puzzle!

Very interesting puzzle, and what an interesting solve. I loved this video, Mark. I paused the video to think about how that pink line had to work, and I did not get to the answer myself, so I watched you from that point. Thank you for the daily sudoku videos showing live solves - just as exciting as this Carolina-Kansas basketball game I am watching right now!

Slowly savored this sudoku in 02:02:59. Actually fairly fast for me... Definitely a dystopian situation here! I did really enjoy how the cameras slowly restricted the digits and you had to really consider their cross-sections to figure things out.

A rare one where I finished faster than Mark. 36:31 for me. It took a bit to figure out what all the options were on the diagonal with two cameras, and at first I missed the one that turned out to be correct, which was confusing. But once i sorted that out the rest was pretty smooth sailing.

Saw the title and thought for a moment that this might be a weird colab between two of my favourite British you tube channels CTC and Sorted food. Admittedly not quite sure how they would pull that off 😂 now that I think about it.

48:41 onwards: 8 in R2C4 gives you two 7s in box 5 - somehow Mark doesn't see it. 7 in blue cells puts two 6s in R5 - Mark still doesn't see it. OMG... Don't mean to be rude or demeaning but I just can't bear seeing Mark fumble like that.

Great puzzle. I think Mark ignored to bubbles for far too long. The bubble in the diagonal with two cameras looking at each other and the bubble in the corner looking at the same two cameras set the whole thing up almost from the get go.

Nice puzzle. Not so keen on the title though. For those not from the UK, 'See it, Say it, Sorted' is probably the worst slogan ever. Used on UK trains every 5 minutes to get people to report suspicious activity. One guard on South Western Railway used to do his announcements as soon as the auto message kicked in to drown it out.

It's still quite rare that I beat Mark's time, but I did today, and it's down to just two things. Not ignoring the speech bubbles at the start, and doing sudoku to place 2 in box 1.
