Pra cima deles mano! Representando nosso 🇧🇷

I used to think I'd want to get into spec Miata racing if I got into car racing (currently i do motorcycles). But a well set up spec Miata car is the same as one of these rush Srs. The Sr is way faster and seems more fun, and easier to work on after a crash.

Why the break is heavy in race cars?
@5speedsimracer6 ай бұрын
Most race cars don't use a component called a brake servo which helps to lower the pressure needed at the pedal to apply the brakes. Basically, in a petrol engine car, the servo has a pipe that goes to the engine intake and uses the vacuum created by the intake. The servo is split into two sections, separated by what's called a diaphragm, and this vacuum forces the air to go into one section, while the vacuum stays in the other section, which creates a pressure difference between the two chambers. The pressure difference pulls the diaphragm towards the master cylinder, which is where the brake fluid is stored, and the diaphragm then pushes a rod into master cylinder which, with the help of a spring, helps to push more brake fluid to the brakes. I hope this helped :-)
@strml_6 ай бұрын
A heavy brake pedal means more feel. Since formula cars and sports racers don't have ABS, you need to threshold brake - and this means really precise pressure that depends on the temperature of your tires, aero grip, and even the grade of the track. And the car responds really well to trail braking, which is much easier to do with a heavy pedal.

I had a friend buy the rush sr. It stayed broke down. He couldn’t keep that thing on the track constantly getting towed in. It’s cost effective because the parts they use are the cheapest parts they could possibly use. Clutch cable broke mutliple times, the bolts rusted very quickly, the axel bolts backed out multiple times which is dangerous. This is a cheap ass kit car. Whoever buys this car beware. Atlanta motorsports park was going to run these at their track but realized quickly how shitty these are. Also the fiberglass is cheap in I chipped it just getting into the damn car…..
