Hope you get it! Sometimes you have no choice but to go for the pass at the last possible second!! Although a smart defensive driver placed there vehicle in a manner that compromises the person behind them forcing them to be perfect

NASCAR is a good series to practice doing this showing your nose too early can cause some wrecks or a loss of opportunity

You turned too sharply in the middle of the turn and maybe even turned too early. You could’ve hit the apex later and it would have lead you straight instead of spitting you out mid corner into the other guy.

Hey man, do you have quick tip on how to release tension in arms when trying to correct for oversteer...i tend to stiff up which hinders my ability to countersteer.

the issue why this almost never works in iracing and why i show im going inside is because in iracing people do not acknowledge your presence or react to your move. They simply just take the corner like you don't exist. I would use the sneak send on someone i trust which is not many people in games.

You always tell us about iRacing having the most realistic braking experience and why this is importent. Real Life GT driver "Nicki Thiim" made a great video about race sims a few years back. In his old video ( Nicki Thiim | Simulator Comparison | Porsche 911 Cup | iRacing | Assetto Corsa | Raceroom ) he sad that RaceRoom had the best braking experience of all 3 sims when it comes to the Porsche Cup car that he drove alot IRL. Today, "because updates" his video is OFC outdated. BUT,... Raceroom just got a huge 26GB update with very big physic changes. So i was wondering. Did you try it yet and what do you think? XD Currently i agree with your view on iRacing. I eve swapped sims because of mostly your input. But Raceroom was very good back in the day. And with the new update it is even better! PS, if you happend to see my wallet, ignore him! he dislikes you because of all my spendings the last months in iRacing! ;D

Their is every time a stupid idiot who is starting from the back of the grid and sending it through the most extrem inner of the first corner. Got it a lot with SF23 and SPA and i could avoid it but not the guys on my left and also the guys already inside the corner.

Drive ABS cars as if they don’t have ABS! Had to learn it on my own but wow what a difference it makes, I used to just slam the brakes with ABS but it’s much more efficient to stay out of ABS.

I did exactly that. Only to be crashed into and my steering arm broke. Your opposition has to be fit or smart enough to recognize you. Ok: it's more rewarding to pass a fit and strong opponeent than an ignorant , old roadblock.😂😂😂

I'm glad you're pointing this out. Getting right up close to your rival on the straight where it's easy to avoid a crash helps you leave them space in the corner where it's hard.

Divebombs make you a legend regardless if they work or not. But with this little mini ted talk it feels like you're really sleeping on the psychological aspect of showing your nose early. It makes the driver in front have to think about defending or how late to brake to stay ahead around the outside if you do make the move, and if you keep doing it without making the move it can condition them to expect the pop out but not consider if you're going to try, thinking you're just doing it to make them make a mistake, and then you can catch them out like that. Even seriously skilled drivers sometimes get tricked by an early pop out by moving over to defend taking a shallow entry only to have the following driver move back to the racing line then hit a late apex with greater exit speed and just casually drive by.

Number one thing to do is plan where you want this journey to take you. Secondly, maybe not let other's experiences good or bad, become yours before even trying or living it for your own enjoyment or displeasure, please. It's easy to get lost in the 'noise' of others. If there ever was a time to quote that phrase, it would obviously be now. We know the one... about a book cover or something about judging 🤔 ..just saying🧡🙏🏼

He's technically right, but in an average sim racing lobby this is terrible advice. Your average opponent doesn't have the racing IQ to notice you, react to you and make the correct decision to not turn in on you fast enough. You will just crash. It won't be your fault, but that doesn't matter if you're out the race.

Yeah tbh i always felt like something off every time i stumbled upon new videos about racing technique then try to apply it ASAP for competition, but turns out i'm still way off the pace from the pros. Turns out planning is that important, and i can't be much happier when you made a whole pointers for technique levels since that's probably one of my biggest puzzles to develop forward consistently. Thanks for your immense contribution to the community, means a lot.
