Yes, I love the Völkerball perfomance too. 🤘 The flamethrower device costs over $10,000 and has malfunctioned frequently during the tour. Till was then in the quite angry. He always calmly went backstage, carefully put down the expensive device and then destroyed something less valuable backstage. All band members knew that it was best to get out of his way.

I don’t know much about the drummer either. His name is Christoph Schneider. His nickname is Doom. He’s 56. He cites Ian Paice, Phil Rudd, Vinnie Paul and Chad Smith as his main drumming influences.

Christophe Schneider was raised in E. Germany by parents who worked in the arts. He began music on trumpet but switched to drums, to the disdain of his parents. Played in a couple small bands (including Feeling B, with Paul and Flake) b4 joining Rammstein in 94The nickname Doom is from his fave video game. He's twice married, 3 kids. He plays a custom DW Collector's Jazz Series kit. He is intensely relentless and disciplined on drums...a total beast...but also likes to be a showman!

Ramstein is the largest U.S. Air Force base in Europe, as well as the largest U.S. Air Force facility outside the United States. The US Air Force uses the base as a hub for cargo and troop transports and combat operations. All drone attacks in the Middle East, Africa, Afghanistan. e.t.c were/are also controlled from Ramstein. The relatives of the people deliberately killed by US drones have sued Germany several times because Ramstein is located on German territory purely under international law. Ramstein Air Base houses special storage facilities for a total of 216 B-61-3 and B-61-4 nuclear bombs. 54 so-called nuclear weapons vaults are embedded in the floor of the aircraft shelters, each of which can accommodate four nuclear weapons and thus house about another 130 nuclear warheads. The most advanced hypersonic weapons systems of the U.S. armed forces are stationed in Ramstein. Because of these and other facilities in Germany, Russia considers Germany a legitimate target for nuclear first strikes. Ramstein Air Base became known for the dramatic events during a public air show event, where 300,000 spectators were said to be present and several aircraft collided during a military formation flight maneuver and crashed into the crowds of spectators on fire. According to official data, 70 people were killed directly and over 1000 were seriously injured, some with lifelong damage. There was video footage from a live coverage that showed people affected by the fire and debris, and thus some victims, directly at the moment of the disaster. What was also seen in a coverage of a private channel for a short time. To this event a conspiracy theory exists in the context of the pilots concerned, because they were witnesses of the not cleared up crash of Itavia flight 870 with the Mediterranean island Ustica in the year 1980, to which they should testify as witnesses one week after the air show before an Italian investigation committee. In this connection it was remarkable that already in the years before Ramstein there had been unnatural deaths among military personnel who had been involved in the crash off Ustica. A corresponding suspicion, the manipulation of the machines was expressed among other things by the expert for aviation law Elmar Giemulla, who represented several Ramstein victims as a lawyer. Rammstein named itself after the air accident and possibly also the general security significance of the US Airbase for Germany. Due to an error in the context of the spelling, Ramstein......... became Rammstein. The song Rammstein is of course about the air show disaster.

There are actually 2 Völkerball concerts...the main one (the one you're watching now) in Nîmes France and the other in London England . The one in England only has 4 songs and 3 are also in the main concert the big difference is that the one in England is the only one that has my #1 most favorite Rammstein song and performance which is "Rein Raus" I love that song!
