Suffering from Patellar Tendonitis

Hey everyone! In today's video I wanted to talk about the growing issue I've been seeing in my practice - patellar tendonitis aka “jumpers knee.” 🏋‍♀️
A lot of my athletic patients have been struggling with pain directly under their kneecap that is aggravated when they bend or straighten their knee. After evaluation, it’s usually a clear case of patellar tendonitis - inflammation of the tendon connecting the kneecap and the shin bone.
This tendon takes a lot of repetitive stress from activities like jumping and running. Over time this can cause small tears and inflammation, which I’m seeing more and more often! 😫
Initial treatment focuses on resting the tendon to let inflammation settle down. Stretching and gently strengthening the quadriceps muscle can also help take pressure off the overloaded tendon.
As a chiropractor, I also utilize joint adjustment techniques and soft tissue work like graston technique to release built up tension in the tendon and promote healing. 💪

Hi Dr Beau what can be the problem if both thighs stay sore and the same thing with my shoulders it's like someone has beat me with a stick and it's not noticable until I bump against something or if one of the grandkids bumps against me

Sounds like tendonitis with some potential muscle spasms. Best case to get in and get checked by a provider

I have bursitis in both hips and in both shoulders and that can cause tendonitis and yes it feels like someone has beat you. Turmeric and ginger and cinnamon tea helps with the inflammation and there's other natural herbs that can help .
