I don't know if you'll ever see my comment, but I want to tell you that 7 years later your message is still inspiring, continues to teach and it has help me understand that the weight of your afflications it's light compared to what await us in heaven. Also, soon I will be preaching to the church I attend and your message has helped me to prepare a lot, I know God brought me here to this. God bless you!

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (August 29), 2 Corinthians 4:16-5:10 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "An Eternal Hope" or "Hope Eternal." The beloved hymn, "Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me," written by Augustus M. Toplady (1740-1778), is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination.

👍 that hymn too

Loved the Idea! 💖 It's literally what we have been taught all history long, Goodness is God and suffer is God teaching or reminding you how to proceed. There's only room / mind left to succeed whatever the case may be; everything that happens fuel my tank for the better✔️

I had a dream last night. About 2 Corinthians 4:15 and further. I was sitting on a table with an old friend (one who doesn’t believe), and was telling me to open the bible exactly at this point and chapter one of Acts. I really don’t see the connection and why this particular part. I’m very very lightly suffering; I don’t think this was the meaning of the dream. But perhaps something big is coming. Anyways, the way John explains the parts of the bible in all of his study videos are amazing. Thank you for that.

Similarly, I imagine that someone who doesn’t suffer as much in this life doesn’t get so much glory in eternity? That would seem to make sense.

Suffering for righteousness / not for wrong doing . Help me Lord be a light unto others 🙏

What if the unbelievers are your children? Are we supposed to leave our children? I was not saved til I was 45. Maybe their time has just not come.

Don’t lose hope. Pray for them every single day. I believe God will not out off the prayers of an importunate heart. Read the parable of the widow and the unjust judge in Luke 18.
