the reason why the mirror thing didn't work with Kevin's laser is because it uses an infrared wavelength, and regular mirrors act like non-reflective objects for them. For IR light, you need a gold or gold plated mirror.

ProTip: For the laser sword, don't use a mirror. Use a "retro-reflector". Retroreflectors always reflect the light(or radar) back to their source. It's how street signs and bicycle reflectors work internally. :)

When he worked as a tree-topper ... he was using a short chain saw and he managed to cut the front of both shins with the freaking CHAINSAW and he almost BLED OUT getting down out of the tree and off to a hospital. The ceiling shoes basically confirm a theory I’ve had with Spider-Man. His wall crawling ability only fully applies to stone/concrete or metal surfaces. Ceilings aren’t made to support weight that way. He couldn’t wall crawl on any building with vinyl siding, drop style ceilings, Sheetrock seems like only for a short time.

For the "laser sword", when using the first laser: 1. Need a stronger pole for holding the mirror at the top, antenna has too much flex. 2. At the top and bottom use a faceted mirror "cup" that redirects any beams coming into them into the center. 3. Offset the laser emitter slightly off of the bottom cup so laser doesn't get redirected into laser head. By doing this you should be able to get an "infinity mirror" type setup between the two "cups" and any movement in the beam should be redirected towards center of "cup" before being sent to the other cup.

The ceiling shoes could use a small jet or a dense helium balloon to counter their weight and make walking easier. The saber could have the mirror replaced with something that absorbs the light instead of reflecting it everywhere, as well as an extra blade on the antenna for more damage.

Laser is no ordinary light. His best bet is to use less powerful laser and focus the beam halfway the length of "blade", it would also make it less dangerous.
