My Tears Ricochet is about her stolen lullabies “I didn’t have it in myself to go with grace”- Red (State of Grace) “You’re the hero flying around saving face”- Speak Now (Superman) “And if I'm dead to you, why are you at the wake?”- rep (old Taylor is dead) “Cursing my name”- Fearless (The Way I Loved You) “wishing I stayed”- 1989 (All You Had to Do Was Stay) “Look at how my tears ricochet”- Debut (Teardrops on my Guitar)

He was like a father to her, he watched her cry over Scooter…I can’t even imagine the level of betrayal she felt

Can u educate me lol. Why was she crying over Scooter before the drama? Why did she hate scooter and not want him to own her albums? Who sold them to scooter? Shouldn’t she be mad at them?
@rebeccafindlay9068
@rebeccafindlay9068 6 ай бұрын
@@iyaabdo7524I don’t know why she hated Scooter. But the guy, Scott who was like a father to her is the one who sold them to scooter despite knowing how much Taylor hated him. From what I gather she also offered to buy them herself but he still sold them to Scooter instead. I don’t think he told her either, she found out when it became public.

She was actually the first artist signed to the label, before they even had an office or really any staff. She was literally mailing out her first singles to radio stations herself because there was no one else to do it lol. She worked her ass off, became a huge success and obviously the biggest artist at the label, there are a few other moderately successful artists from there now but nowhere near her level. She was ready to pay for her masters but the label head Scott (who she viewed as her second dad basically since she had been signed with him since she was like 15) wouldn’t sell them to her outright. She could only either buy the whole label or she would have to re-sign with Big Machine and she could get one of her old album masters back in exchange for every new album she made. Both of those deals are terrible so she was resigned to the fact that she was going to have to let the masters go and sign somewhere else that would allow her to own her masters for future albums. But then Scott sold the whole label, her masters included to Scooter Braun who he knows she hates so I think that was when she got truly angry. It really is like a divorce, they built this label and her career together (mostly through Taylor’s talent and hard work) and it just ended with major betrayal.

I fucking hated this whole situation! She didn’t deserve any of this, she’s my idol! I love everything about her. The fact is that if she didn’t go through all this shit, she wouldn’t be who and where she is today. She truely is artist of the decade! She is the definition of power, respect and consequence. As they are now reaping what they sewed. She is thriving without them 💯 %. She’s truely a force to be reckoned with.

"and if I'm on fire, you will be made of ashes too" is literally what happened when they tried to pull that shit. Everybody burned because she didn't go with grace, she fought for it and everybody knew. With her re-recording her albums though, she had the last laugh.

The guy playing the piano is Jack Antonoff, who helped her produced/co-write August. While the one playing the guitar is Aaron Dessner, who produced/co-write Cardigan. Then, the both of them produced/co-write Betty. Basically, the trilogy songs of the album were produced/co-written by each and both of them. hope you get it what I mean haha! :)) btw nice reaction!

I appreciated your comments at the end but there's one part you got incorrect... Taylor WAS willing to buy them for outrageous amounts of money. They wouldn't negotiate with her because her label originally wanted to keep her locked in by returning her masters to her one album at a time in return for each successive album she turned in.. so she'd get #1 in exchange for a seventh, #2 for an eighth, and so forth. When she wouldn't do it, and found a new label, they refused to negotiate with her for the sale of her masters, despite her being TSwift and more than capable of paying their price. Then the masters were sold to the person she hates most in the music industry, someone she'd literally cried to her label about, and they tried to flip the narrative that she was just bitter. The whole situation is fucked, but its SO wonderful we're getting her amazing rerecordings, which are designed to make her original masters useless.

👸🏼 Taylor was never given a price for her masters. She was willing to pay anything but before she was even offered a price, she had to sing a NDA. This is what she said: “Scooter’s team wanted me to sign an ironclad NDA stating I would never say another word about Scooter Braun unless it was positive, before we could even look at the financial records of BMLG (which is always the first step in a purchase of this nature). I would have to sign a document that would silence me forever before I could even have a chance to bid on my own work. My legal team said that this is absolutely NOT normal, and they’ve never seen an NDA like this presented unless it was to silence an assault accuser by paying them off. He would never even quote my team a price. These master recordings were not for sale to me.” It’s so sad but at the same time I’m happy she’s re recording everything and we will always support our queen ✨

Her label, Scott, became so close to her family. Yea, it just reminds her of a divorce because it was a divorce from him. She signed when she was 14, so she left at age 29. She was his first signee and made him all his money. 100’s of millions. I think at the end she made up 75-80% of his revenue. He didn’t want that gravy train to end, he just wanted her to keep making him money. He just should have sold her the masters. Her masters are everything to her, her memories, her words, her emotions, experiences from age 14-29. They mean everything. Most contracts are this way, which is sad. The problem is that he sold it to her enemies who bullied her for a decade and tried to ruin her. Anything off folklore or evermore right now would be good reactions. Folklore has the long pond so maybe This is me Trying, Mirrorball. Evermore, try the Willow music video. I prefer live and evermore just doesn’t have much live. So some of her older stuff live is fun to appreciate. Out of the woods live from the Grammy’s. Wildest Dreams- Enchanted live remastered in 4K is super. I did something bad live AMAs 2018.

I like your Taylor Swift reactions! Hey, about the master records, Taylor actually wanted to buy them from her old label because she knew the label would be sold, but Scott Borchetta said she could regain the master records if she recorded more albums with them and Taylor did not accept. When the label was sold, the new owner was Scooter Braun, who had bullied Taylor in the past, and that's when she decided to re-record them instead. Since the re-recordings started to be released, the originals have lost value, Braun ended up selling them to somebody else.

I relate to this song differently. Long story short, Folklore came out right when my father passed away from a sudden heart attack at the age of 54. He died in my arms. I didn't know how to deal so I locked myself in a room and listened to this song on repeat... these lyrics below, I'd just SCREAM them as loud as I possibly could and cry and cry and cry. (To be fair, I still do.) It felt like Taylor was the ONLY person on the planet that was understanding my pain, my loss, my grief. I couldn't comprehend how to be on the earth after my dad was gone... "I didn't have it in myself to go with grace 'Cause when I'd fight, you used to tell me I was brave" "And I can go anywhere I want Anywhere I want, just not home" "And I still talk to you (when I'm screaming at the sky) And when you can't sleep at night (you hear my stolen lullabies" (2 years this past July. RIP Daddy.)

What Scott did to Taylor is the most disgusting form of betrayal. Scott was just starting his record label and she's the first artist in short she's became the pillar of the record label. She's the most successful artist he got. For years she beg for her masters to be owned by her but he didn't gave her a chance. She will stay if his only a good person come on she trust him so much and for him it's just a business.

@Suffi Reax Taylor signed with Big Machine Records at 15 years old for a 13 year contract. She tried to buy her music and performances back for years from Big Machine Records(Scott Borchetta). She was the first artist on his label. Actually his label wasn't even fully formed yet. Big Machine sold their label to Scooter Braun who had bullied Taylor in the past. Two of his clients had bullied Taylor in the past. She had a MASSIVE BEEF with Kanye and his wife Kim. The world turned on Taylor. Kim put out an edited version of an illegally recorded phone call. Taylor called them out on it and they denied it was edited. Kayne was at the top of his game then. #Taylor the party is over was the number 1 trending topic Worldwide. Everyone sent Taylor 🐍🐍🐍🐍 emoji's. Taylor moved to London for a year to escape some of the backlash. It took Taylor down big time mentally. While she was in London she eventually pulled herself back up and wrote the album Reputation. She wasn't sure if she would be accepted back. She was. When she went on tour for that album she used a lot of snake imagery. She had a Huge Cobra(not real) on stage during parts of the concert. She, cobra was named Becky, even struck right over the audience. All of her merchandise was snake themed. At the into of the tour before she comes out the screens show all the hate Taylor magazine covers that came out voiced over by radio and gossip sites slamming her. Unique and Badass way to take back the narrative that was used against her. She refused to promote the album. She said "there will be no explanation just Reputation." The tour ended up being the number one that year. Oh sorry, I got side tracked. So after Taylor had cried to Scott Borchetta about the bullying he sold his label to her bully. Taylor was beyond mad. She slammed Scott and Scooter very publicly. Then Scotter got so much backlash he told Taylor she could buy her masters back if she signed a legal letter saying she would not say anything negative about him again. Her lawyers said they had never seen anything like that anywhere except during S.A. payouts. Of course she said no way. She said it was like a man telling a girl to shut up and be a good girl. The music industry has been known not respect females. They do more now. Taylor has shown her power. Taylor still owns the publishing rights to her masters. She decided she was going to re-record her first six albums and adding the vault tracks, songs that didn't make the cut on each original albums. She had to slightly change the lyrics and create new artwork for the "Taylor's Version." If you see that it means she completely owns that album. Her first owned album is Lover. Lots of radio stations said once she put out a "Taylor's Version " they would not play her old music to support her. On some streaming services you have to say Taylor's Version, at least on Amazon Music. Her battle taught other artists to make sure they can own their masters in contracts. Years ago she took on Itunes and Spotify for every artist. Folklore and Evermore she wrote and recorded without telling her record label. She told them a week before that she released the albums. They said go ahead, we trust you. Her label is Universal/Republic. That is massive confidence in her. I don't know of any other artist that would be bold enough to do that. Those albums are different genres than she has ever done too. You had the right theory on the song. I have ADD.🙃

For another Taylor song where she talks about a music producer and how they don't like her is her song called "Mean" from her 3rd album 'Speak Now'
