Yes I find it such an important part of fishing rivers there’s not a day goes by where I’m not on the river especially now when we are out of season and the rivers are low and clear you can see so much.

Fantastic again. You are inspiring me to get out. I usually roach fish in large lakes but river trotting as always been at the back of my mind. Cheers again looking forward to seeing you next video.

As the fish come off the bottom to take the bait they keep on coming up in the water then feel the weight of the bulk shot then blow it out ,by sending the bulk/olivette up the line it gives you the time to be sure when to hit those bites

Great video. I’ve walked the river for miles, I use small lures for Chub in the Summer into Autumn, mainly the Black Barn and Langham Ponds stretch. Did you park near Pumping Station for this stretch? Andy

Glad u liked the video yes I park at pumping station

Proper jungle swims in the summer, but like you say, they are the best swims.

Is the Stour mostly club water or are there free stretches? I'd heard that the stretch from Flatford to Stratford St Andrew is now free to fish?

I only live in Bury. Sudbury is only a little drive for me. unbelievable when you think I 4 hours drive down to river test twice a year for the trotting.

Sudbury is very good had a 21lb pike in 3-4ft in water

so whats your best chub from the stour??
@ipfishing14662 жыл бұрын
I had a 5.7Lb a few years back down at Langham but I don't really target the chub as much as I should do but next season I may start to search out the bigger ones,

@@ipfishing1466 ow wow im not a chub fisherman,like you i prefer roach,4.5 is my best from the stour not my pb that is one amazing size stour chub dont run that big,im thinking the wensum or the lea,that is remarkable, btw that roach from the avon, stunning ,have you got special permission or is that somewhere i could fish?
