Love your videos! Quick question. The sugar you are using is just regular granulated sugar right? I don’t need to you Isomalt crystals/sugar for this right? Thank you I know it’s probably a silly question .

U can drop a portion in water, if it solidifies, then it is ready. Hope this was helpful

Beautiful work, I have tried to do some a couple of times and they turn out but until I turn them over then they melt, I would love to try your recipe but I don't know how much sugar, water and corn syrup you used?

It can be that it was too thin. It need to be handled very carefully.

I used smbc and did a watercolor with the gray/black. The drip is just melted black smbc.

I don't know what I am doing wrong, my sail keeps breaking when I am removing the silicone mat :-(

The only thing I can think is that the sugar at the bottom is very thin. Let the sugar cool down just a little bit more before you place it on top of the bottle for it to drip.

Reduce the water just a little bit or let it cook a little bit longera( be careful since it can turn amber). Keep in mind that it is somewhat sticky anyway.

I am not 100% sure how long but around 3 minutes for the sugar to dissolve. Heat it up until it reaches 150 F ( the whole process took about 7 min more less.

I haven't try any other material, but I would not recommend anything else since you are working with very hot sugar.
