Hi! I’m loving your videos! I was wondering how many apples the homemade version with the condensed milk makes? I’m doing caramel apples for a festival at a school and have almost 100 apples to do. Trying to figured how many batches I need to do and the recipe for that many. Thank you, your video has been helpful!

OMG I made the homemade today and it was PERFECTION. The caramels stayed on the apples for the first time EVER! I've used Peter's and had the same problem that you have. I like the La Lechera but it doesn't have the traditional caramel flavor that some people want. It's different. This homemade recipe is soooo good- but I did add a teaspoon of vanilla. Thank you!

You just inspired me to try the homemade recipe even though it is more work. My mom agreed that the dulce de leche taste was not quite the caramel flavor she was looking for!

I've never eaten Dulche de Leche, and was wondering its taste. Thanks for letting me know the Carmel taste is missing.. That would be weird, looking at a caramel apple, expecting that flavor, and it not be there... Your mouth and brain would be so confused... lol

Thank you sooo much for clarifying everything!!! I did by the bag apple kit when I made the dulce de leche apples but my family ended up eating them all anyways. So I can save the bags if I make the homemade Caramel apples. I actually prefer the dulce method, it was so easy. 💖💖💖

Oh man I did the vinegar and baking soda rinse for my apples and now I have a ring inside of my brand new pot 🫤 I’ve soaked it and washed it several times and it’s not going away. It definitely took the wax off the apples but I used a different caramel recipe and it still slid off . No idea what the issue is cause I chilled my apples overnight and my caramel tastes delicious.

Hey Cristina ! i love your channel ! 🤗 I just wanted to ask can we use the soft caramel in the squeeze bottle ? i couldn’t find the Dulce De Leche in the can ONLY in the squeeze bottle and i know it would already be soft so it can come out of the squeeze bottle , so if we were to use that , we wouldn’t have to use the heavy cream ??

@sharlarandolph7802 Жыл бұрын
Hello, loved the video, thank you sharing!! I have a couple of questions that I hope I can get answered soon. On the Dulce De Leche I know you said something about keeping them in the fridge and the label states place unopen can in fridge. So, I'm guessing that I will not be able to sell these at a pop up festival? Even though it has very little cream in it and it will be cool where prepared and then cool outside. Is there no way around this? Of course I do not want any of my customers getting sick. Just wanting to know with that small of amount of cream is it imperative that they be kept cold until event time ?
@catpride13234 ай бұрын
I know this question wasn't for me, but I thought maybe I might try and help. The original caramel, thats made from scratch, has 1 cup of heavy cream in it, and they have them on the counter at the fair - so how can that be okay, and a few tablespoons in the Dulche not be okay ?? Just a thought?? 🙄

Sorry for just seeing this now! Both recipes should be kept in the fridge until ready to sell or display at your event, however they can be kept out for a few hours at the location🤗 I have aftercare instructions about refrigeration of caramel apples in my updated video on how long treats last- also either one can be sold depending on your preference, I mentioned the heavy cream recipe is more ideal for selling since it is a chewy caramel that is more firm/stable and the dulce de leche is softer set but the dulce de leche can be sold as well- both follow the same protocol for refrigerating up until ready to display🍏 hope that makes sense ➡️ apples are shown at 7:43 in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIOao2qmZpySasksi=ntWz0CmZNgDbxzVk

So us Canadians cannot buy the Dulche de Leche in a can, but i heard if you take a can of condensed milk and leave it in how water for like an hour or something it makes Dulche de Leche. So if i made that, could i then use that to cover the apples?? If anyone knows, I appreciate your help.. 😊
@SugarMagicbyCristina4 ай бұрын
Hello! Yes my canadian followers have mentioned your dilemma, I have tried that before and from experience, the homemade version is more runny and doesn't coat the apples the same as the canned product or give the same results unfortunately- I can try modifying that method to experiment and see how it can work and yield good results 🤗 but you are welcome to try it out💕

@SugarMagicbyCristina4 ай бұрын
Hello love , I'm sorry that happened to you! If you're referring to the dulce de leche recipe, I mentioned at 15:00 that I recommend packaging in boxes plus other aftercare tips- although the caramel firms up in a few days, being that they are softer set the caramel can smudge💕🍏 I recommend clear candy apple boxes to prevent that from happening
