The amount of people who keep thinking love and a crush is the same thing makes me cringe especially. Just like Ronni and Tiese got saved ( I skipped the scene like I did with berserk too ) but I believe they were not penetrated at all either. But people forget that doesn't make it less traumatic. With them it's their real bodies but in an "ai world", so for them it is real. To people from the normal world, they might argue against it. And even though they're "saved", the time they were being mistreated is still going to affect them. And in both scenes it made sense. As disgusting as it was. UW is more past tense than our own, even in history, nobles abused commoners. And with Asuna, planned engagements can lead to abuse albeit not always.

I've seen a lot of people compare this scene to the violent sexual assault scene of Caska in Berserk so I feel the need to say this just in case anyone gets the wrong idea. What Caska went through is absolutely objectively worse and there's no denying that. Asuna's sexual harassment isn't even in the same league really. However, it's still harassment and a terribly traumatic and horrifying experience that a lot of people can go through, even if it didn't go as far as it could. Any kind of harassment, regardless of whether it's someone putting their hands on you inappropriately to full on sexual assault like in Caska's case, is a terrible experience and one that can very severely affect someone's mental health and should be treated with respect. I don't want anyone who may actually relate to these characters to develop the mentality that "other people have it worse" and therefore start thinking they don't need/deserve help or not consider themselves to be a victim of sexual harassment/assault, so I just want to put it out there that any kind of harassment is valid and that anyone can get and deserve help after going through something like this, regardless of how "bad" it is. Not criticizing anyone who's compared SAO to Berserk, it's a fair comparison and a really interesting one at that, I just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea so I thought I'd clear this up.
