It's great stuff. Used it to fix a hole in my washing machine rubber seal. Works perfectly.

I love this stuff I've been using it for years! I recently used it to fix a pin hole leek in my water tank in the loft. It fixed it great, I drained the tank first and sanded the sight of the leak. Even that pin hole leak cause a lot of water damage as it must have gone unnoticed for months. Thankfully it's all dried out now! It does the job until I get the time to replace the tank. Much better than other sealants. I also used it to reattach a headlight washer on a car. It's also good to use as an insulator for wires. I like to put a magnet inside sugru and and stick it to my desk that way it holds phone chargers etc.

This sure is great, I bought some to fix my apple leads that wear out typically and fray if they get tangled in the vac 😝 it's sort of like silicone and with wet fingers you get a smooth finish also goes a long way. Is pricey but so is Apple branded leads 😉

how sturdy is this stuff in comparison to say shoe goo, or other evaporatively cured polymers?
@ultimatehandyman
@ultimatehandyman 9 жыл бұрын
AmoebicMagician Not sure, sorry as I have never used the other products. The Sugru sets like an hard rubber, it's quite stiff in large parts but flexible if you apply it thinly.

I have done so much with this stuff. I have created a pressure button for a pill case since it is just elastic enough to require some good pressure to open, fixed a grip for a knife I own, molded a soft insert for a sliding door, a cushion for the same door so the door does not slam but lightly rebounds from the wall, fixed cords, and repaired many small things. Excellent stuff, I find it sticks to more things better, and is more useful in general, than multi purpose silicone caulk or two part silicone mixed with a talc or corn starch.

I've fitted small spirit level vial's to the top and underside of my cordless drill, making sure it was parallel to the shaft axis. Comes in handy when having to drill holes in awkward places.

UH, sorry I don't watch every single video of yours, but it highlights the fact that you have really lost weight and are looking very healthy. Congratulations and thanks for showing us the newest, coolest stuff. That Sugru looks a bit like the plumbers putty I bought. I think it was called that. You mix it up and then can shape it into whatever shape you want ... but I am not sure it sticks to anything.

justgivemethetruth Thanks, yes I have managed to get back to the gym and have been eating healthily. I have been to the gym for most of my life but was too busy about 4 years back and packed it in, but then I realised I was probably putting myself in an early grave so I returned. I'm now 97kg's but have been 115kg's at my heaviest. Thanks for noticing ;-)

@ultimatehandyman
@ultimatehandyman 9 жыл бұрын
justgivemethetruth I don't think that will happen but you never know LOL I used to be in good shape in my twenties and had a six pack for years, weight training 5-6 days a week and kickboxing a similar amount of times per week+continental shifts kept me at 69kg's for years! You have to watch out as you get older, I have dropped three trouser sizes in the last few months. I did know that I was fat and out of shape though, it's just that I was too busy to get back to the gym.Diet is the main contributor though. Thanks for the comment ;-)
