That clean bit you played at the end with the delay and strat was f#cking sick... Such interesting chords.. Damn bro, you're making me want to practice and hang it up at the same time. Rock out on tour this summer. Peace from Charleston, SC

I have a Bogen PA from the 50's and just got an Orange Tiny Terror. They get close but damn, that is as clean as a twin with the grit of plexi type tone. Heaven.

Pete, Once again thanks for your effort to show us all another fantastic amp. It's one thing to live the dream, but you Sir, share the dream with your generous contributions to the music community. Bravo! This one is suhr to get a lot of attention! The fact that this model is cathode biased makes it even more desirable for it's versatility. I'm also certain the EL34's give this amp considerably improved warmth and clean headroom over the 18.

@WoWandMetalFTW Well I ain't Steve Vai or whatever... :) but I am a busy working guitarist. I play with Chris Cornell, Melissa Etheridge, Don Henley, etc. So I guess some folks think that means I know what's what with amps/guitars etc. You be the judge. I'm not the typical dude in band with record deal, but I'm busy doing "high profile" gigs. And I need quality versatile gear to cover all that ground. So I use Suhr gear. Cause it's awesome.

HI Pete , wanted to ask you which amp you prefer , the old Bogner Shivas with the aluminum chassis , not green or the Suhr Badger 30 . I know they are 30 watt vs. 90 watt but I just wanted to get your thoughts. I really wanted to use either amp for a pedal platform. Which gain do you prefer the Badger or the Bogner Shiva? Thanks, Man. Great playing, man !!!

I have the Badger 30. Mine does not vary in volume by it self. I use pedals on a clean setting with this amp, maybe not the best because the lower gain i have the less bass you get and gets thin. I have tried other preamps (JMP-1 directly in the effects return and the guitar directly into the JMP-1, there it has plenty of bass. I suggest you check out the Suhr PT-100! 3 channel. GREAT clean channel! Great distortion channel, like a blend of JCM800 and Peavey 5150, HIGH gain!

Guthrie Govan uses this with his band The Aristocrats whom I've seen live! On my return home after seeing the Paris gig I've sold my amp to get this amp because the tones are killer.. Used with a Suhr Kokoboost it just rocks! It cleans up nicely using the guitars volume knob or a volume pedal!

I like this amp. Wiash I could try it. The biggest issue is that its a one channel. I am sick of pedals. I used to only use my clean tone, and then my ts808 which I still use. This is a great amp, might get it anyway..just wondering if sure had a low watt amp with more than one channel with this quality.

True. The Badger 18 is the best in the badger series. Got it right the first time. Rich 3D cleans and edge of dirt. The Badger 30 sounds like a JCM800 with cleans. Too grainy.

hi Pete, I'm looking at this video again and again (as well as other with you playiing), and I must say that you are a real inspiration when it comes to playing, tone and taste... (I mean it really). I have the oportunity to buy either a badger 30 or a Od100 classic + in the next few days... I could do with either ways or using them (1 chanel with pedals or 2 channels in the studio as well as on stage), but when it comes to tone, what would be your choice? All the best, Vincent

I have to say thats an admirable sound too, but this is pure rock n roll, and I'm not a country guy. But his sound is my favorite country guitar sound. It ought to be good with Dr. Zs and Trainwrecks. He puts some serious money into his amps.

that's kinda the point. To get a Marshall Major to sound like that, you'd be over 100Db by the time you had power valve distortion. Also, 100 watts isn't twice as loud as 50, that's a common misconception. a Fender SuperSonic is 22 watts and will pop your dental fillings.. it's banging loud.
