Many, many thanks from The Netherlands for posting this video! According to the things Mike Muir said between the songs, this must be the October 20 1989 gig at The (New) Ritz theater, 254 West 54th Street, the former and infamous Studio 54 Club. Kreator and Gothic Slam were support act. I searched for this gig for many, many years. Hope this is the right one, but I'm almost sure it is. I was in New York for two weeks at that time and I was there at the The Ritz too so I can't thank you enough. I was a fan of ST since maybe 1984/1985 or so. I was there with another Dutch guy, but not a fan really. I warned him that it could be fierce and even violent night. Before we went in a guy already came out of the theater with his face covered with blood. My mate didn't want to go inside the theater, but I insisted to go in, because we already bought tickets. Inside I bumped to a tall guy, it was mister Joey Ramone and his red haired girlfriend. We went to the balcony, because we thought we were more safe there, but if I remember it well, than there it was also very fierce and the theater crew fucked up many times the audience. It was a night to remember, so it's great to have a piece of personal history here. As Sideler74 said it was one big mosh pit, but you can't hear the crowd, because it sounds like a soundboard recording. Funny to see Robert Trujillo again in September with Metallica in Amsterdam, after 28 years!

I was there if this is 10/20/89. I still have my ticket stub. It says it was $15.50. What a bargain. I was 18 yrs old. It was a violent night. Standing room only. A lot of skinheads were there. If I can recall correctly I remember someone getting stabbed inside. It was very tense.
