Nope. Not to mention all the guys who had suicide shifters aren't around anymore. I have the real thing on 1946 Chief. You need a foot clutch to make this work right. You can have a foot shifter and a hand shifter at the same time, and that would be a better way to go. The shifter needs to be on the left side for a right hand throttle.

This is just a waste of time, effort, and money. This is for guys that want to look cool, without any of the danger that goes with a foot clutch, suicide shift. Nonsense.

I searched for it, I did not find it anywhere. Is this the correct name for the piece? I want to buy it. Where can I get it? Please reply. Thank you for your time.

On the throttle side ? No thanks

The shifter needs to be on the right side because you need your left hand to operate the clutch. It is normal on a cruiser bike to let up on the throttle while shifting. So the action is not that different than normal shifting.

@@indianaftermarket6944 no brother you should have installed an auto shifter from spike industries. Then you don’t have to remove your throttle hand makes so much more sense

The setup is nice but it looks really cheap.

This has to be one of, if not the dumbest thing I have ever seen put on a motorcycle. It serves no purpose.

its def more of a nostalgia feeling and look. back in the day Indian and some Harleys had a left hand throttle/clutch and the hand shifter like so. id like to get one for mine eventually because I used to have an old 74 sportster that had a jockey shifter that was a blast to use. the "jocky" or "jockie" shifter from what I've been told by old timers is what that technically is, because if you wasn't careful while shifting you would hit yourself in the jock lol, also the original design was closer to the tank and closer to the rider. the "suicide shifter" was when you had a foot clutch and it is/was hard to get used to and if you don't learn fast you'll wreck fairly often.

The tab you bolt the linkage looks cheep like sheet metel , more chineesium craftsmanship here , and what happens when someone pulls to hard on that shifter and now those cheep U clamps spin on the crash bar , im sorry but the ideais great but the excision is lacking in though .
