It looks cool but no gameplay two Fandomes in a row makes it hard for me to really get excited for this. Arkham Knight came out in 2015. Show some damn gameplay already.

@@mrshmuga9 It's not that they can't, it's that it's too early. This game is probably almost a year out from now IF it doesn't get pushed to 2023 even. I bet they'll want to keep some gameplay for closer to release. Teasing some cutscenes first makes more sense marketing wise especially since Gotham Knights will probably release first (it was originally meant for 2021).

We were there until Gotham Knights was shown, then we bailed. Due to uncertainty with music / film copyrights, we unpublished the archives to be safe. If FanDome continues in the future, we'll probably just wait for the game trailers to drop and react to them separately without having to sit through the rest. -Bloodworth

Joker is dead, Batman has been doxed.. the Suicide Squad game can and most likely will have the group kill the JLA. This is the Arkham-verse. Also they wouldn’t show a major death like the penguin in a trailer (bringing it up because one of you/them said “the penguin didn’t die so they can’t kill the JL”).

Huber's opinion was more about CG trailers IIRC, but I do believe he relaxed on it unless I'm misremembering. It might also have to do with expectations. This game is far out so it's expected that gameplay will only come next year IMO.

Fyi this game is in the same universe as the Arkham series and takes place after Knight so it seems doubtful Batman will appear?

I'm still wondering what the gameplay is on this. I mean, do we control all four at once? Do we only control one of them and the rest are always AI? Can we choose or does the game choose? Or is there only one on field at once and you swap out like Genshin Impact? There are so many ways they could go with that stuff. I would prefer that everyone be on screen at once, and you can swap freely between who you are manually controlling.

They said that you can play as all of them, and can swap to each person any time you want. Your team is AI unless you’re in co-op

I have no doubt Rocksteady can do this scale at all, the crowds and gliding speed with the framerate was insane in Arkham Knight, still kindof a standard for PS4 games.

@@librarygary1618 I get consistent 40-60 (estimated) when gliding on PS4 what you talking about lol? Can't speak for Xbox and the PC port was compromised when it came out. Whereas I can't even play Arkham Origins without my system crashing every few hours, and I think Knight still looks better than many games that came out towards the end of the PS4s life.

They’re more what the games will look like. They’re cutscenes but they’re very in-game, not cgi It’s a 2021 game, so meh shooter with health bars, damage numbers and microtransactions up the wazoo.

Not at all. First of all it seems fun. Which is more then I can say about the Avengers game. Rocksteady has already proven what they are able to do. My fear is WB forcing them to add microtransactions. I'm still cautios because of all the GaaS rumors but I hope Rocksteady delivers a fun game. Gotham Knights gives me more of those Avengers vibes just from the gameplay shown.

you're suppose to be playing as villains and its coming across like a buddy cop game. they're all laughing joking having a good time one step away from taking selfies. i thought it was going to be dark the way they portrayed the villains in the batman games.

The suicide squad has had this kind of tone to it for years. Look at clips from Assault on Arkham, the Squad then had the same kind of chemistry it has now. Also, the game probably will play moments seriously, because some clips in this trailer seem like they should be in full context.

Totally clichéd whacky characters doing whacky zany things + extreme violence + standard overplayed comicbook film clichés + energetic editing + punky music trailer + endless quippy obnoxious Marvel dialogue and inappropriate jokes in the face of danger etc. It's incredible how tiresome that trailer was. Worse: zero gameplay shown. So boring, when is the superhero glut going to come to an end? When will game devs stop believing they're actually making films?

@@expendableindigo9639 Probably because Gotham Knights is randomly forcing in RPG mechanics that don’t belong there and will be an annoying way to level-gate you. No gameplay has been shown of Suicide Squad, so it’s easier to look better when you haven’t put anything out there to harm your image.
