I didn’t bother with Toy Story Mania. I’ve ridden it many times at Disneyland... I’d suggest going to Journey of the Center of the Earth first, then go to 20,000 leagues... Do the things you can’t experience anywhere else first. I suggest getting the Tower of Terror fast pass. Eat the curry popcorn!

There is always a stand by que at big band beat for the upstairs seats. Arrive early to get a seat. This is a great show. The only one in English because it is old New York themed. I did all the things this video mentioned. Toy story was closed anyway. Had a great time in Disney Sea. So worth the trip. I wanna go back.

I think the tip about Toy Story Mania (i.e. going later for the fast pass) only works on days that are not crowded. On busier days (e.g. New Year), fast passes are usually gone within the first hour of opening. It's a mad dash - but it's one of the most polite mad dashes I've ever had the pleasure of being in. It's almost an experience in itself!
@SuitcaseMonkey7 жыл бұрын
+Moontess haha. Great point! Yeah I guess it only works on quieter days. Good to know the queue can be an adventure in itself! 😀

I'm going to go to DisneySea at New Year (I know - but it was the only period my friend could make it). I'm keen to try out your other tips - especially the single rider queue.
@megasocky6 жыл бұрын
Lately the fastpasses are gone within the time I speed walk there (and yes I had waited before the gates opened). The staff usually close it because the lines are already packed (yes they do count every people that walk in. I've noticed they carry around those old clickers)

Good to know. Thanks.

Thank you for this ! This is the best advice ever. We saw the rush for toy story as you predicted as soon as the gates opened and took the opportunity to do other major rides which we were able to walk right onto. In the first hour we had done 3 of the major rides ! At 9 we went to get a toy story fastpast but they were all finished by then, but we were ok with queuing an hour and a half given we had done most of the popular rides already within the first hour. We then used our fastpases throughout the day to just ride them again. Single rider advice- also awesome !

Hi I am planning to have a 2 day visit for Disneyland and DisneySea Tokyo (1 day for each). I'll be coming in the 1st week of Feb on wednesday and thursday with family of 4. My family is conflicted between what rides we should do as my parents won't sit on roller coaster type of rides (fast-paced) and me and my sister would do those ones as well as slow but fun ones. All of us have never been to a disney theme park before so the idea is to do as many activities as we can. All of us agree on skipping any outside shows as they will be in Japanese. We weren't big fans of Disney growing up as kids so we only know a little about Disney hence we think the shows won't be worth it as we won't know the content anyway. We are only visiting it just with the perspective of it being a theme park. We know the basic characters of course so i guess we will take some photos with them along the way. What we liked from all the videos we watched is the environment it creates for every one and family activities and rides My Questions: 1. Is it busy during that time of the year? I've heard spring break is in February but couldn't figure out exactly when. I will be there 1st week of Feb on Wednesday and Thursday. We're also doing USJ on Tuesday. 2. Can you suggest which rides will be suitable for my parents? They would be fine with slow or medium paced. 3. I am thinking of using your strategy for ToyStory Mania because based on comments this sounds like a family type of ride, but how will we know if its busy, very busy or very very busy because "busy" has a different meaning in different parts of the world and whether we should wait in line to get fast pass or just do the other rides first and come back later? 4. Can one person wait in line to get fast passes for the whole family, while the other members of the family go and enjoy other rides?
@TheSamtheman0812 жыл бұрын
Is the middle of May a good quiet time to visit Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea? What will the weather be like in May? I am not a big fan of big crowds and long wait times for rides, but do understand that you can’t avoid really crowds and long wait times at Disney parks. Still it be great for it to be a bit less crowded and shorter wait times on the rides.

We did the same thing as you on 5 October 2017. It was Thursday so the fast passes for Toy Story Mania weren't gone until 10:30. After We entered the park we rushed for the fast passes "Journey to the Center of the Earth", then we took "Indiana Jones" and "Raging Spirits" which were no lines at all. At last we took the train back to the American Water Front for Toy Story Mania pass. It was 9:15, and the pass scheduled us at 19:30. But as @Moontess mentioned, fast passes are usually gone within the first hour of opening on holidays. So this trick is only for ordinary workdays.

Hi. If you didn’t have a problem in Paris I would expect it to be the same shouldn’t be a worry. If I remember correctly I think there is a 2 hour break so even if you haven’t used it, as long as it’s 2 hours after you had your last one printed it should print a new one.

@SuitcaseMonkey7 жыл бұрын
+Roselle Solis Sure! On Raging Spirits and Indiana Jones, just ask a staff member at the rose entrance about the single rider line and they will let you use the fast pass entrance. It’s a way for them to fill up gaps in the ride where only one space is available (as most people are groups) so win win for everyone.

Hello, I am visiting Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea in mid March 2018. I didn't realise at the time of booking the holiday that it was spring break, so I'm guessing it's going to be extremely busy when we go *sigh*. I was wondering if you know if there are any places in the parks that you would recommend for a vegetarian? I have looked at the menus online, and I only seemed to find one place, even the pizzas seemed to have meat or fish as toppings! D:
@SuitcaseMonkey7 жыл бұрын
+Laura Durber hey. I’ve just spoke to my wife who’s Japanese and she said generally speaking japan isn’t very good when it comes to vegetarian food. Each restaurant will have options (I’m talking more Tokyo here) so you should be fine overall but probably the one place you found in DisneySea may be the only great option there. It isn’t something we needed to pay attention to unfortunately when we were there so sorry I don’t have more specifics for you. I’m sure a bit more researching though should give some answers. You’ll still have an amazing time though, I’m positive! Using things like single rider etc mentioned in the video will still help. Enjoy! :)

Suitcase Monkey thanks for the reply, any help is appreciated. We have done lots of research into vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Tokyo and we've actually found quite a few with really positive reviews (it's just physically finding the actual places now). Il just make sure that we visit that particular restaurent in disney. Thanks again :)

Hi, that´s just what I´ve been researching lately for my trip next year. ;-) I found this Information, I hope it helps: In Tokyo Disneyland: - Eastside Cafe has 2 vegetarian Pasta Courses - Center Street Coffee House has a "Vegetable Plate Set": tomato soup, vegetable Baguette and salad - Crystal Palace has a lunch buffet, so you can just pick the vegetarian (side) dishes there - Blue Bayou is listed als vegetarian-friendly, they have vegetable soup and a vegetarian Quiche, also salad - Plasma Rays has a vegetarian Curry Option In DisneySea: - Zambini Brothers Ristorante: They should have Pizza Margharita there - Ristorante di Canaletto: Minestrone and Pasta Also, there are lots of Snacks, side dishes and Sweets throughout the parks, that are vegetarian.

In my opinion, Toy Story Mania is not worth it. We stood in line for 2 hours and this ride was not worth it. You sit into a cart/vehicle and then this cart slowly travels and in the way there are 3D screens with point targets that you need to aim using the gun on your cart. If you are looking for some adventure then this is just a waste of time. Instead you can go to Raging spirits, center of the Earth , Hotel Highland and Indiana Jones.

Really can't pre-purchase tickets... Disney Tokyo site doesn't let you buy without having to call customer service (how's your Japanese?) So... I just showed up at park window and figured out tickets (with great staff, but a lot of pointing at menu!) Main thing... when you buy tickets, they start on that day! so be prepared for first park day when buying; no advance sell. (Okay and, 3 hour ride waits and 2 hour waits...all day/night for even a coke/popcorn stand... you may never eat all day (like me!) so advise pocketing a few protein bars in case (wish I had). was mid-week day also.
