Words to get disbarred by* Aside the fact that this is a fictional story that bears no meaning to real life values people should strive to live by, it doesn't hold up in the world of Suits anyway. None of his achievements regarding status or authority in the law firm are merited by his own actions.

The difference between the two, is that only when Harvey is down, does his attitude switch to becoming working together. I really felt like a better dialogue for Louis in this scene was to have brought up Harvey was a hypocrite. He wanted Junior Partner so bad Harvey was disloyal to Louis because of Harvey's ego. Straight up mentioning what he preached to McKernon Motors tells us that Harvey doesn't believe in loyalty as much as he believes in being a deity -- worshipped with blind faith. Later (or earlier in the show) when Mike does a similar thing, he gives a little silent treatment baby-tantrum and says he wasn't loyal after being metaphorically held gun-point by Jessica. Louis saw a compromise at the start, Harvey agreed to it. Then there was a change of pace and instead of 'playing the man', knowing that Hardman is playing both of them -- instead of doing one of the other hundred and forty-six things to escape a bullet or return it back, he grabs Louis as a meat shield. Despite Louis being the one trying to de-escalate a hostage situation. Gah!! I love this show so much I'm starting to talk like them. Don't get me wrong, I love the characters in this show but they really rake Louis through the mud sometimes. While I do favour Harvey in general, Louis should have been the next Hardman or Hardman 2.0 with his almost-paternal care for Rachel and love for Sheila but instead they made him a caricature.

Louis played Harvey the same way Harvey played Louis, that's pure Karma. @santiagobuenos967310 ай бұрын
The above analysis is correct Louis was being loyal to Harvey and clearly did not want to take Hardman's counter proposal Harvey being loyal to Louis would've been saying no to Hardman and finding another way to become partners together, instead he accepted a deal explicitly going against what Louis wanted therefore betraying Louis, he took advantage of an opportunity Hardman presented to be promoted by himself so Louis did the same, there's literally no difference outside of external ethics about aiding opposing council which isn't relevant to the dynamic between Louis, Harvey, and Hardman

It would be a different world if Louis and Harvey had worked together to land MM and went to Hardman again or if Louis had told Harvey what Hardman was doing before he sabotaged the trial.
