A golden storyline opportunity for the show would’ve been to bring her in to the firm and have them work together. Or at the very least against each other on a case while she knows his secret. Their chemistry was great (obviously) and it would’ve been a golden opportunity for someone outside main cast to know and still be antagonistic to Mike.

It's explained in the show, Nathan (the manager of the legal clinic) hired Mike knowing he was a felon who previously praciced law without a licence, because he was getting an highly experienced corporate "lawyer" for a minimal price.

Normally, someone that is going to Columbia Law wouldn't have the time to run around as a bike messenger. They would be swamped with work, or doing internships like Claire. It was a pretty bad lie and he caught Mike when he confronted him.

I'm a fairly patient person but I just can't handle women/people who would rather throw a tantrum than communicate in a calm manner. She was lucky Mike continued to pursue her. Those early tantrums are huge red flag for future displeasant interactions imo.
