The Su-30 started out as an internal development project in the Sukhoi Su-27 family by Sukhoi. The design plan was revamped and the name was made official by the Russian Defense Ministry in 1996. Of the Flanker family, only the Su-27, Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 have been ordered into serial production by the Defense Ministry. All the others, such as Su-37, were prototypes.
This rendition is in 1:72nd scale and made by JC Wings in a limited run. It is of the Sukhoi Su-30 Flanker-C from the Russian Air Force's 142nd IAP, Blue 54, in Russia, 1997.
Thank you as usual for checking out our video, we appreciate it immensely. I hope you found it helpful in some way and if so please throw us a like or even subscribe if you wish to be kept up to date with our latest releases ‪@heavymetaldiecast‬

Sukhoi planes are beautiful 👍 Sometimes I have trouble installing the undercarriage and ordnance too, on my MiG-21 i filed one of the gear legs a bit too much and it's tough getting it to stay in. Nice video!

Yeah for some reason this one just gave me hell, haha. And its a fairly common issue I am finsing with a lot of JC Wings models now. Not sure why but hopefully they start sorting things out a little bit and making things fit a little better. Thanks for watching the video, even though it was a little longer than usual, haha

@@heavymetaldiecastyeah I can understand as I’ve recently got a JC wings model they do look glorious but you do catch onto some issues, but personally I don’t really mind if it’s the cockpit or something that isn’t noticeable.

Yes unfortunately it does seem to be a common issue with JC Wings that I have learnt over time. If they got their fitment issues sorted they would be some really great models. Thaks for watching the video!!!

These issues with the fit on JC Wings models is really disappointing. None of their older models had these issues, but in the last few years the quality of manufacture has slipped to a really poor standard. There is a few JCW releases I've been considering getting that are coming out in the next few months, but I'm expecting to be disappointed. I, like you have had to file missile fittings down to get them in the slots and to be honest it's to much of an effort to bother sometimes. I hope someone from JC Wings sees the kind of bad experiences a lot of us are having.

Yes its strange, always a little hit and miss with them. But this one by far has been the worst experience I have had. And I mean I am a pretty patient and forgiving kind of guy but boy it was lucky to survive the video, haha. Yet I have a JC Wings Su-34 I and that was fantastic, even had some magnetic parts if I recall correctly, landing gear was in drop in modules so no gear bay doors needed fitting, was Hobby Master quality and fit, haha. As I said in the video I have bought the Su-22 so I am hoping that is a good one to put together as I think they took that model over from Calibre Wings. Luckily I did get this under $100, but if your paying say $200 for a model you would want it to fit all together for that price!! Hopefully JC Wings to lift their game, as the paint schemes they offer are really nice for a lot of their aircraft. Thanks as always for watching the video, even though this was a long one, haha and i do tend to waffle!!!🤣

The model looks very beautiful. Even with a bad shape radar hood. But the quality is terrible. I think the problem is that they use very old Witty Wings molds. The Su-22 you mentioned has the Calibre Wings mold, so I don't think it would be a problem. Although I assembled my first Calibre Wings F-14A yesterday, and I was very disappointed. Attaching missiles launchers to the wings is mission impossible...

Yes it could have been a half decent model if it didn't have the issues. I have had a similar issue with Calibre Wings F-14's too. Trying to get the sidewinder and pylons to stay on can sometimes be troublesome for me too 🤣

@@heavymetaldiecast I’ve never bought any of these things. Would be interested in learning about your experiences of the brands out there. Costs seem to vary a lot. I’d like a Bristol Fighter, Mossie and 190 on my shelf! 😎 And a StuG III G 😁

@@shinra2755 Yes will vary alot, especially when I buy pre owned/second hand diecast. Even buying current new releases you need to shop around you can save a lot by doing that. Sometimes you can get a real bargain, other times you pay through the nose, especially for a discontinued one. Makers are also hard to get a read on at times. Sometimes less is more, some manufacturers add so many many fidly bits that it can be frustrating, especially if things fail to fit. Then some offer sub par models that don't have a lot of detail and are almost you like. It's why I do the videos for everyone 🤣 but if I had to choose one manufacturer that has been constant with fitment, cost, range selection and overall finish it would have to be Hobby Master. Sure there are some manufacturers that make some aircraft that are slightly better, but they are more expensive and don't have the model selection. As for the Stug III, I have only seen 2 brands that do a diecast version so far, one from DeAgostini and Dragon 😀

@@heavymetaldiecast Comprehensive answer as always. I’m a video game collector btw. Or I was until I kind of changed up my career a bit. @@shinra2755 ah cool, my first "console" was an Atari2600... dam that River Raid game 🤣. Ibought a ps1 when they came out and then remember buying the Xbox when it came out and Halo just blew me away and i wouldn't let my kids touch it just in case they broke it,haha. I still play console, I'm still an Xboxer 😉 as they have what I call manly controllers. I give my PlayStation mates crap about their delicate small girly controllers 🤣. Sometimes you need to change your life up abit as careers go. Sometimes life does it for you. I was enjoying the work I did until I got a spinal injury and haven't been able to work for 15 years. You struggle to try and find your worth in the world when that happens. Hopefully after all that time I can find my place doing this channel and hopefully people will enjoy the videos as much as I do making them 😀. Thanks as always for being part of it 😀👍
