Love these videos showing the sois off sukhumvit! Please make more of other streets as well, I feel like I am in Bangkok when I watch them.

I stayed at the Park Plaza Hotel. Nice accommodation and restaurant inside. Great staff. I ate at Palm 18. Nice small place to eat for Thai food. These videos remind me of the several times I visited Thailand. I always thought there were more 7/11 than massage parlors.🤪

ESB, thanks for your effort for uploading the street view on Suk soi x. I always stay at Soi 19 Key hotel and expecting you will explore this Soi soon.
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
Yep - I have filmed soi 19 and definitely remember getting the key in the can so to speak. Will probably upload the video on monday.

Your "And Another One" is really funny. I will visit the coffee club at this soi in the near future.

Thanks for the comment - The Coffee Club breakfast is pretty tasty.

Thanks ESB for another very informative tour. Please enlighten me as to how all those massage shops survive.555555
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
Good question - I think their rent must be low. Other than paying rent they don't really have many expenses. The work they do is all dependent on the labour and labour is relatively cheap in Thailand.
@GepDtang6 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree the rents must be very low and the ladies on commission not salary.You are up late ESB cuz it is lunchtime here in Toronto.555555

Hi Allen, am I missing of something? soi17 is not there?? Thanks for bringing us with you to soi 18!!
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
No you didn't miss anything. There isn't a soi 17 video because soi 17 is pretty much empty. I also didn't make a soi 6 video as it too is empty. There will be quite a few more sois like this that will be skipped as it is not possible to make a video about them. Thanks for the comment - I am sure you asked a question others will have too.

thank you for your update and i know a bit more about the soi!!

we stayed on that first little cul-de-sac and my wife and I had numerous massages at the corner massage place Ayutthaya Massage and Laundry. This was in Jan 2019 iirc. Great trip hope to return

Hi - thanks for the videos. Have you noticed any less street food vendors around these sukhumvit sois since the street food ban/regulations came in?
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
Hello Matthew. Yes, there are clearly less street food vendors in the main tourist areas but if you walk down the Sukhumvit sois you will quickly find street food vendors servicing mainly Thai locals.

Good video mate lots of small resterants down that soi ,have you tried that swedish resteraunts meatballs i remember you going to ikea and saying they were very good take care .
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
Not tried the Cajutan meatballs yet. Tried the IKEA ones again last week as there is a new IKEA in Bangkok, Bangyai - biggest in SEA.
@henrikl13945 жыл бұрын
Cajutans meatballs are much better then IKEAs. IKEA is ok for the price, but Cajutan serve the real deal.(I am Swedish)

will you be going further afield say pinklao or fortune city or chatuchak?
@riccardop286 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I will be staying in a hotel there and was curious. I am a bit concerned at the lack of proper sidewalks. I have a little daughter and the traffic seems quite dangerous.
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
The Sois do have sidewalks - they are just poorly maintained. Sometimes you have to walk on the side of the road as the sidewalk is cluttered up or non-existent. I woudn't say it's overly dangerous. I also have a young daughter - yet too young to walk - and I can imagine the worry you have as a parent for your daughter's safety. Personally, I would probably make sure your daughter stayed close to you when walking these streets. On the other hand, the traffic inside most of these sois is light compared to Sukhumvit main road.

Very informative, but how many massage joints are there around here, lol.
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
In the whole of Bangkok? Hundreds maybe thousands. Although the further you get away from tourist areas the less there are. I live in Sathorn and only have one massage shop within a 15 minute walking distance range.

another great video but get rid of the pop up man ruins the videos ,but kept up the great work
@Eatsleepbangkok6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback Kiwi - opinion seems to be split about the pop up man but he has probably done his duty so will not put him in future videos. Although I may regret that considering how many massage shops there are in these sois.
@BFFJARVEYNYC6 жыл бұрын
How about we get a pop-up of The Count from Sesame Street counting how many massage parlors there are on the soi. I think that would be funny. haha
@mattd30466 жыл бұрын
Sadly - all the street food vendors day and night have been moved out of this soi (outside Lexus) by the authorities. They are slowly destroying what makes so very special. Tragedy
