Crazy Theory: The reason heavenly restriction users, with no cursed energy have only came from the zenin, is probably cause they bring so much negative energy about cursed techniques /low CE, etc and due to the build up, members of the clan now have a chance to have literally 0 CE, as Fate cannot simply turn that negative energy into a curse. OR Fate, decided how ironic would it be for a clan to die off and be destroyed, by someone with no cursed energy, giving them a chance to see the light in Toji and his strength, giving them the "Hey, this guy could wipe you out, so maybe cursed techiniques aren't everything?", and after they failed to pass the test with Maki and Mai, they got wiped out, also to back this up, all they're cursed techs suck, except the 10s and... heavenly restriction, and to further this, they made the recent 10s user(BUMGUMI) MID af, to give them ANOTHER hit that maybe, cursed techs aren't everything.

I think if cursed energy as a higher power being one based on negative emotions is not just allowing these things to happen but enforcing them. Why? Because maybe the entity that embodies cursed energy wants personification. What if it wants to ascend by becoming an actual form and to actively do things in the universe. Cause while sukuna is trapped in the system like most, sukuna also embodies said system. Its like hes content with it because while hes in the prison hes also the prison warden. Cursed Energy is a sort of sentient entity in and of itself so this makes sense. Kenjaku most likely is acting out the will of this entity whereas everyone else is a acting for the sake of order. Tengen will have to die. If Geto can manipulate the curse energy then taking Geto's body makes sense. Kenjaku/ Geto could have taken Sukuna's body if he can manipulate the energy. So why didn't he? Megumi's soul is still there so Sukuna doesn't have complete control of his body. So in my mind it is still possible. Geto was the fall out, they used him, maybe Tengen does know, if all this was planned out. The teacher told Gojo and Geto that they never expected them to deliver the Star Plasma Vessel. Did the teachers make that assumotion because they were still kids, or did someone see future events?

Common mistake. A lot of these things aren’t explained because they’re not explained in our world, either. JKK canonically doesn’t exist in an alternate anime universe like Naruto or even Bleach. What if the human world and the cursed realm were split at some point but leak into each other the dreams and imagination of ppl flood into the cursed realm giving the cursed energy form and ego while while curses and ce flood into the real world bringing ppl who may have higher connection to the cursed realm these imaginary powers that defy reality. In a way imaginary things can exist in reality but at the cost of humanities collective nightmares being manifested. They may call it cursed energy but it is just the energy that humans thoughts imagination and fears create, being thrown back at them.

Something tells me the highest power is just God Since even religiously he allows whoever he wills to win or lose to have enjoyment for a little while and if they fail to do good then they will eventually be crushed NO MATTER the odds I like the idea that even if Sukuna thinks he's strong he will still lose to God without question and God doesnt have to lift a finger its already predetermined because of how sukuna chose to use his free will to assure his own destruction Whereas I believe the heavenly restricted are not "beyond fate" but are those that use their free will to avoid material things like Cursed energy but Toji and Maki are still not the ideal humans as Maki is only ruled by vengeance and strength whereas Toji is ruled by his own form of nihility and pride. Its why both of them both fail and succeed to be on sukuna's level but they chose the easy way over a more righteous way (its probably why i dislike them both because they feel so aimless in their lives like the only thing that matters to them is ending a life that gets in their way all of them ignoring the blessings in their life and being full of sadness when they learn that their blessings aren't immortal nor did they appreciate the blessings when they had them)
