They are so cute and so sweet. I know that I would never be able to devote what it takes to properly care for these magical creatures. However, I just LOVE watching these videos! I'm able to live vicariously through all of these turtle (and other animal) videos online. Thank you for posting!

I love it! Hi Simon and Garfunkel! 👋 Thank you for sharing your knowledge of Sulcata tortoises with others... And I am especially grateful that you spoke about the harmful effects of over breeding in the pet industry. We adopted a sulcata tortoise (now 10 years old) from a friend to 2.5 years ago. People don't realize how big they get and they don't plan for the space they need. For us... our tortoise has changed our lives. He's absolutely become a member of the family and we enjoy spending time with him each day... He brings us so much joy 😊 Simon and Garfunkel are obviously well taken care of and I'm sure they're happy little campers on your property! Thank you for sharing!! 👍💕

Thank you they are great members of the family. I've helped re-home many Tortoises and take great care to insure they will be taken care of...

Thanks for the videos. We rescued two young ones just before winter (8 & 10 inches in size). We have a lot of work ahead of us as the weather gets better here in Arizona. Your videos are very helpful!

This video came at the absolutely perfect time for me! I’m a college student and I know that I want to own a young tortoise in the next year or two. So I’m researching and saving up for their enclosure and care equipment now. Thank you for sharing this video!

Great, the enclosure and housing can get expensive to build. Do not skimp on either, make sure they are safe and healthy for the tortoises. They are great additions to a home.

They are adorable! They just get so big!! I have two desert tortoises (definitely easier to manage than sulcatas). We are in the process of building a tortio that has everything they need. I agree the over population and thoughtless breeding is a huge problem!

My daughter went to a reptile show 4yrs ago, the tortoise fit in the palm of her hand. She was told it was a Greek goddess but NOPE it's a sulcata and its getting huge already. We're going to have to build a heated shed for it. Its half as long as my 2yr old grandson.

Great vid thanks. Got two rescue ones in Phuket. Old Thai guy just to old to look after a male and a female as to heavy and active. They now seem happy in a large garden and the way things are going I’ll probably be a father

The spurs are actually on the back thighs, normally two on each leg. They are not the projections on the front legs.

Great information, lot of things there I didn't know and all people getting into this should know. But later in the video even you said you don't like the mass breeding situations and still ask for females for your male rescues, kinda do as I say not as I do mentality. Surely there are enough already.

Great point! I am not looking to breed them... just provide a little more companionship... Thanxs for the note.

You want some females to “ donate to the cause ?” There’s already an overpopulation and neglect of these I thought you stated that in the beginning and then now you want females enjoyed your video until you said that

I am sorry for the confusion. I agree with you... Breeding of these beautiful animals is out of control. I have room and would look to have a few females but not to breed, just to provide a home and provide some friends for the boys. Thank you for the comment...👍
