I stayed with her until her last moment. She was so loved. Its been 2 years and my son still mourns. Your song touched us so much. Losing a pet is losing a family member. I truly hope sully reads these comments! This song is one of the last songs I seriously listened to. The beat grabbed my attention as it was 180 degrees different from all his other songs. Then the words moved me in a direction of total appreciation of Sullys musical artistry! I've been listening to Godsmack for over 20 years and watched with admiration just how far he's evolved and perfected his musical talent, passionate knowledge of music as a whole! He has kept my attention for all this time by his changing up his musical talent to incorporate listeners from a variety of music genres instead of stagnating as so many other bands and artists have allowed themselves to do! You've got my ultimate respect Sully and music has been my rock of Gibraltar for my whole lifetime! I use it as a medium for expressing my thoughts and dreams and even failures! My wide spectrum of musical genres I've listened to came from my parents ever changing choice of musical genres! I was allowed that same freedom along with my knowledgeable opinions and mom and dad respected those opinions. I only wish I had the chance to have them listen to Godsmack before they passed! Keep up the great work and my intuition tells me Godsmack will be around for another 20-25 years!!!!! I am close to 65 right now and I will follow with dedication for the rest of my time on this earth this unique and wonderful band! KUDOS! Be proud Sully of your achievements! Your band is like no other!

I just found sully’s work last year. My son took my wife 13 year old granddaughter to a haunted house set up in the old Mansfield prison in Ohio. While we were waiting to get in to the old prison they had a sound system going . One of the songs that they played many times in the two hour wait was a godsmack song that was done in a vidio “Awake “! The foyer or receiving room of the prison was the room that you started the haunted prison in, is where the video was done. Then sully has a masterpiece like this show up on recommendation on utube! Until then------

@@suedolbow452 All these types of comments got me in tears. Totally get it and best wishes to everyone coping. Lost my favorite Aunt and Uncle at the same time earlier this year. When she was a diagnosed with cancer years prior, I knew he'd follow suit. Genuine love hits you like a truck when around it or experiencing it yourself. 3 months apart. My cousins losing both Mom and Dad isn't something I can comprehend. This shit is too real. Also reminds me of my ex of 14 years... it's a different type of grief and parting of ways when you know you have to. It was me who called things off, too. Took a couple years to finally and totally be ok without him. Avid lover of metal and hard rock, Godsmack was never on my radar too much. But damn. The fan fair for Sully makes 100000% sense. Even bigger lover of musicians who transcend any type of category or genre. It's like the actors who can do both Comedy and Drama superbly. So rare, so in tuned with human emotions.

You got me off the dope and gave me hope and now I will not sink for I can cope. You came into my life when I was so low . Now your up in heaven looking down on me And hope you like what you see.
